Sallie Ann Carrow Tetterton | Eastern NC Now

    Sallie Ann Carrow Tetterton, age 80, a resident of Bath, NC died Monday January 1, 2024, at ECU Beaufort Hospital.

    A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday January 4, 2024, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington. Pallbearers include Dylan Wiggins, Mark Teaney, Carlous Tetterton, Jr., Cody Tetterton, Bradford Flowers, and Crawford Douglas. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Harris and Jimmy Latham.

    Mrs. Tetterton was born in Beaufort County on December 12, 1943, to the late Claude McCoy Carrow, Sr. and Eva Wallace Carrow. She was a 1961 graduate of Bath High School. On May 26, 1962, she married Jesse Leonard Tetterton, Sr., who preceded her in death on January 20, 2015. Mrs. Tetterton worked for Sampson Shirt Factory as a seamstress for over 30 years. She was a member of Athens Chapel Church of Christ. Mrs. Tetterton was a spitfire, ornery but very lovable, she enjoyed being a caregiver to others, even taking care of her younger siblings at times, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

    Survivors include her daughter, Hallie Teaney and husband Mark of Bath; her son, Carlous McCoy Tetterton, Sr. and wife Jennifer of Washington; nine grandchildren, Bradford Flowers, Brandy Walker, Tia Tetterton, Jesse Ray Tetterton, Tiffany Eastwood, Austin Riggans, Dylan Wiggins, Carlous Tetterton, Jr., Cody Tetterton; twelve great grandchildren, Eva Marie Walker, Aiden Walker, Sadie Marie Tetterton, Liam McCoy Tetterton, Sawyer Wiggins, Cassidy Wiggins, Trip Tetterton, Hudson Eastwood, Brayden Eastwood, Mia Sophia Gardner, Gunner Gabriel Gardner, Jessica Tetterton; a sister, Deborah Harris and husband Jimmy of Washington; two brothers, Andy Carrow of Bath, Mac Carrow and wife Angie of Pinetown, and many nieces and nephews.

    She is preceded in death a son, Jesse Leonard Tetterton, Jr., her siblings, Frank Carrow, Hubert Carrow, Eva Mae Carawan, Martha Keech and Nellie Thornton.

    The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday January 3, 2024, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.

    She will be greatly missed by many.
