Lucy Alice Loving Jarvis | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Lucy Alice Loving Jarvis, age, 89, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday December 31, 2023, at ECU Health Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 3, 2024, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens officiated by Travis Boyd.

    The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

    Mrs. Jarvis was born in Cabarrus County on July 31, 1934, daughter of the late Charles Edgar Loving and the late Doris Stapp Loving. She was a graduate of Bethel High School in Midland, NC. Following her high school education, she attended East Carolina College. On February 13, 1954, she married Hubert "Bud" Jarvis, Jr. who preceded her in death on August 30, 1994. Many people in the area remember her as a bank teller with Bank of America of Washington. Her hobby was solving crossword puzzles. She was a member of First Christion Church of Washington, their ladies auxiliary and the Beaufort County Grange.

    Survivors include her children: Robbie Kay Jarvis of Locust, NC and Karen Leigh Jarvis and her husband Floyd Russell Mace of Hubert, NC; and a brother: Larry D. Loving of Washington. She was preceded in death, along with her parents and husband by two brothers: Charles E. Loving and Boody S. Loving

    The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center and East Carolina Inpatient Hospice, both for their care and compassion shown to Mrs. Jarvis.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to any animal rescue or hospice of the donor's choice.
