Lula was called home, February 7, 2024, at the age of 79. She was a resident of Washington, NC.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday February 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by Pastor Darren Walker of First Free Will Baptist Church of Washington. Members of First Free Will Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.

She was born to Horace and Cassandra Ander Craddock Radcliffe, on April 13, 1944, whom both preceded her in death. After the passing of her mother, Cassie, when she was 22 months old, she was raised by her parents Pap Eugene and Mama Ruth Craddock Radcliffe of Swindell Road, Wilkerson's Station, who also preceded her in death.

On April 14, 1963, she married Andrew (Andy) Stout of Terra Ceia, who preceded her in death on November 21, 2014.

A lifelong resident of Beaufort County, Lula was a cosmetologist for over 25 years, a cook at KFC, and her favorite job was a middle school cafeteria worker. When she wasn't working, she was always busy taking care of others, and her favorite pastime was working in her yard.

Along with her husband, birth parents, Lula was also preceded in death by sisters, Retha Mason Radcliffe, and Cora Frances Radcliffe Williams.

She is survived by her sons, Richard and wife Lou of Washington, and Michael of Havelock, brother, Harold and wife Carol Jean Radcliffe of Pantego, and sister, Teresa Radcliffe and her partner Same Wynne of Crystal Beach. She is also survived by a family of friends, cousins, many nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, and a great great nephew, all whom she loved very deeply.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday February 11, 2024 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at her home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, Youth Fund, 901 North Bonner Street, Washington, NC 27889.

The Stout family would like to thank everyone associated with ECU Health Systems of both Greenville, and Washington, who cared for their mother and family. The care and compassion for mother provided by everyone we interacted with will never be forgotten.

Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington is honored to serve the Stout family.
