The Progress Parties of Scandanavia represents REAL progress. They started with the Progress Party of Denmark, which stormed into politics the first election they ran in to become the second largest party in the country running on a platform of "abolish the welfare state, abolish the income tax, and fire the bureaucracy". The Progress Party of Norway, which has been part of government coalitions took those issues and added a strident opposition to illegal immigration. Now that is TRUE progress.

Coal, gas, and nuclear are reliable and cheap ways of making electricity, with geothermal, thorium reactors, and the new modular nuke units exciting new possilibilities. Wind and solar are expensive, unreliable, and a threat to the environment, and I mean the REAL environment, not your CO2 obsession.

We have already switched away from electric vehicles once, and will do so again.

Fossil fuels are a dead end and just like we switched away fro the horse and buggy, we will switch away from fossil fuels. It's a done deal. Cant stop progress.

Shoot the messenger, Bobbie? Zero Hedge is just who published the article. The actual information comes from a professional meteorologist Joe Bastardi of WeatherBell, which has probably the best track record of predicting hurricanes.

The Homeowners insurance companies rip us off by using the same digital voodoo that the climate alarmists do, computer modelling, instead of real data. With computer modelling, you can set up the model to produce any results you want. Insurance companies should be forced to go back to using real data, not this fraudulent voodoo. Charging the east a whole lot more for wind insurance does NOT track with their actual payouts on wind claims compared to rates and claims in the piedmont and west.
