UPDATE:  Another lawsuit has been filed against the Biden regime's attempt to transfer Title IX protections from women to transgenders, this one in the Western District of Kentucky, filed by the Attorney Generals of Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The Biden regime has attempted to use executive fiat to rewrite a law passed by Congress that has protected women in education and sports for 40 years.  The Biden distortion would drop that protection and subsitute protection of "gender identity" and "sexual orientation" instead.  Legally, Congress has purview of any such changes but Biden has asserted he can do it unilaterally without Congress.

State governments disagree that Biden has that power.  Florida and Oklahoma have already announced that they will continue to honor the law as passed by Congress instead of Biden's unilateral rewrite.  Now Texas has joined the fray and filed a lawsuit against the Biden rewrite, as its Attorney General announced that Texas, too will not honor Biden's distortions of TItle IX.

"Texas will not allow Joe Biden to rewrite Title IX at whim, destroying legal protection for women in furtherance of his radical obsession with gender ideology," Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton declared. "This attempt to subvert federal law is illegal, undemocratic, and divorced from reality."
