Cynthia "Cyndi" Apple Kvalevog, 60, wife of Kori Kvalevog, died peacefully at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern on May 3, 2024. She was born on August 30, 1963 in Hampton, Virginia to the late Billy Maben Apple and Kazia Paszt Apple.

Cyndi's early life began in Washington, NC and throughout her life she called Eastern North Carolina home. Alongside her husband Kori, she had the opportunity to live overseas in Germany for several years and later moved to the state of Washington while Kori served in the US Army. Kori was the love of her life and she was devoted to him throughout many deployments and adventures.

To know Cyndi was to know she loved her family deeply and valued them over most things in life. Her greatest source of joy came through the births of her two grandchildren Adelaide and Radford and she cherished the time she spent with them. They will remember her for the fun weekends spent together on the river, painting and crafting, and for always picking up their FaceTime calls.

Cyndi courageously fought her cancer battle with grace and determination. She relied on her faith and her devotion to Jesus to give her strength each day, trusting that He would remain faithful until the very end.

Cyndi is survived by her husband, Kori James Kvalevog; her daughter Kellie Mitchum Davis and her husband Jeremy; grandchildren Adelaide Mitchum Davis and Radford Thomas Davis. Cyndi is also survived by her siblings; one sister Teresa Elks and her husband Steve; three brothers, Billy Apple, Joe Apple and his wife Regina, and Matt Apple and his wife Kelly; brothers-in-law Kraig Kvalevog and his wife Lauri, Kevin Kvalevog and his wife Margaret, and Kris Murphy; sisters-in-law Kelly Arganbright and her husband Dave and Korene Rohrich and her husband John. Cyndi was loved and admired by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Cyndi's life will be held at Paul Funeral Home at 2 pm on Monday, May 6th, 2024 with Reverend Michael Hill officiating. The family will greet friends at 1 pm prior to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Beaufort County, PO Box 33 Washington, NC 27889 or to Youth Camps for Christ, 190 Mangum Lane, Littleton, NC 27850.
