Clarence Anderson “Andy” Beacham Jr. | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Mr. Clarence Anderson "Andy" Beacham, Jr., age 72, a resident of Washington, NC died Friday evening, doing one of things he loved best, enjoying music and friends. He had just been on stage singing moments before leaving this world.

    A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday May 9, 2024, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by Pastor Greg Ramsey. A burial will follow on the Beacham family lot in Oakdale Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday May 8, 2024, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

    Andy was born in Beaufort County on November 4, 1951, son of the late Clarence Anderson Beacham, Sr. and the late Julia Rae Peed Beacham. He was a 1970 graduate of Washington High School and earned his bachelor's degree from East Carolina University. On January 22, 1987, he married the love of his life, the former Nell Marie Lewis who survives. He retired as CEO of First Citizens Bank in Washington. Andy loved fishing and being able to share his love of music with others. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Washington.

    Surviving along with his wife: Nell of the home is his daughter: Andrea Beacham Carver and her husband Raymond of Williston, ND; a son: Lewis Gray Holloman of Concord; and a grandson: Anderson Hall Carver.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
