George Orwell, call your office. Speech crimes are being assessed against conservative activists in both the US and Europe as freedom of speech becomes endangered.

In Arizona, the Republican National Committee's Director of Election Integrity, attorney Christiana Bobb, has been arrested for a "speech crime" for commenting on election irregularities in the 2020 election. How are Republicans supposed to get election 2024 free and fair if we cannot address what went wrong in 2020? Maricopa County, Arizona was a major place where things have gone wrong in multiple elections.

The newly formed Dutch rightwing coalition government has some work to do cleaning up some of the leftist totalitarians who hate free speech among their prosecutors and judges. A young woman Dutch political activist, Raisa Blommestijn has just been charged for "hate speech" for her posting about a violent gang of illegal alien migrants severely beating a defenseless Dutch boy at a subway station and throwing him upon the tracks, where he could have been killed if a train had arrived. The migrants have not been charged with anything. The officials seem to be saying the racially motivated beating was okay but commenting on it was not.
The video of the beating as well as her comments are in clips at the link below:
"Free speech is dead" in the Netherlands declared the young woman. Unfortunately this is happening all over Europe. A young woman political leader in Germany was recently fined for criticizing illegal immigation and is appealing it. A French senator is charged with "hate speech" for posting "immigration kills" after a brutal murder of a young French girl by an illegal alien. A member of Finland's parliament is even being prosecuted for "hate speech" for posting a Bible verse.
Here are some of the crime problems that illegal aliens are bringing to western societies: https://www.beaufortcountynow.com/post/78910/illegal-alien-migrants-behaving-badly-migrants-and-crime-newly-updated.html
It sure looks like the EU is rapidly transforming into the EUSSR or the Fourth Reich.
Meanwhile the globalist French govenrment, the left-liberal German govenrment, and the new globalist government of Poland are urging the EU to crack down harder on media and social media content.

In the warped view of Bolshevik Bob, there was free speech and no censorship in Stalin's Russia and Nazi Germany and is today in Cuba, North Korea, and China. If government does not allow you to make a statement about policy or punishes you for doing so, then you have censorship and you do NOT have free speech or democracy. Of course with his view of the Trump ambush in Manhattan, he probably thinks the Stalin Show Trials were fair, too.

Given what is happening to freedom of speech in other countries I am so glad we have champions of free speech like Elon Musk and that Missioui attorney general who is suing Biden over Biden's attacks on free speech. That key Supreme Court case on free speech is one of the reasons that Democrat politicians and their MSM media allies are so budy these days trying to intimidate the Supreeme Court.

It IS censorship when government punishes political speech or tries to block it, which is exactly what these instances show.
When you are not playing the ideologue card, you are playing the moron card, and both of them make you look like the idiot you are. |
|
I stand by my post. Its not censorship just because people disagree with you. When you're not playing the victim card you play the conspiracy card. Neither are based in reality and make you look weak.

The "victim" mentality is part of the left's ideology, so do not try to project it onto conservatives. We value our liberties, and fight back against collectivist totalitarians trying to suppress them. We see what is going on in other parts of the western world and are vigilant to keep it from happening here. Brazil used to be a thriving democracy, but is how headed to becoming an authoritarian police state. That article shows exactly what we want to avoid in America. It is great that we have some outstanding Republican attorney generals taking attacks on free speech to the courts, as the Missouri and Louisiana AG's have in Missouri v. Biden, now before the US Supreme Court, and probably the most important First Amendment case in decades.

JS- do you see the irony of your last post? No matter how hard you try, the victim card just doesn’t hold up.

"Threats to freedom of speech, writing and action, though often trivial in isolation, are cumulative in their effect and, unless checked, lead to a general disrespect for the rights of the citizen." - George Orwell
Orwell was right! Washington state's passage of SB 5427 by the Democrats raises the hate speech problem of censorship here in the US. It even gives people rewards of up to $2,000 for reporting "hate speech" and tramples upon First Amendment protections. I would imagine it would be tossed out when challenged in federal court, but with Obama and Biden judges, who knows? www.washingtonpolicy.org |

Here is a good article citing how censorship is suppressing free speech around the western world, with Brazil being the country most impacted so far, and it quotes the words of George Orwell above: www.zerohedge.com
