Drug Bust: Cocaine | Eastern NC Now

    For Immediate Release:

    On June 28, 2013, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit arrested Frederick Dominic Carter, age 36, of 18912 Hwy 33 E in Edward and Kasey Demon Bragg, age 35, of 103 Third Street in Aurora. Their arrests stemmed from Investigators conducting controlled purchases of cocaine from Carter. Investigators conducted surveillance and witnessed a vehicle being driven by Kasey Bragg, with Frederick Carter as the passenger, pull into Carter's driveway. Investigators followed the vehicle into the driveway in an attempt to serve arrest warrants on Carter stemming from the controlled purchases. Kasey Bragg attempted to elude Investigators by using his vehicle to strike a vehicle being driven by members of the Sheriff's Office. Both Kasey Bragg and Frederick Carter were taken into custody when the vehicle came to rest shortly after. Investigators searched the vehicle and found cocaine and crack-cocaine smoking materials.

    As a result, Frederick Carter was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine. Kasey Bragg was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resist, Delay Obstruct a Public Officer, Injury to Personal Property and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Kasey Bragg was confined under a $25,000 secured bond. Frederick Carter was confined under a $8,500 secured bond.
