US needs free speech mandate on "public square" scoial media
An undercover reporter for the Okeefe Media Group has recorded a senior software engineer at Meta, the parent company of Facebook admitted the routine censorship of posts that disagree with Democrat candidate Kamala Harris. The group has released that recording to the public. "That kind of sh*t is automtically demoted" the senior software engineer said, adding that the poster was not notified of the action but that the poster would see a decline in their post engagements and impressions. He used the term "shadowbanning" for the process.
One hopes that an investigation of Meta for this illegal corporate contribution to the campaign of Harris is conducted.
This shows a need for free speech mandates on large social media sites that amount to a "public square".
