Arresting and jailing political opponents has a long history among dictatorships, but is not supposed to happen in a democratic country. The power-mad Democrats in the United States, however, seem determined to follow the tendencies of authoritarian regimes.
Now, Joe Biden himself has said the quiet part out loud at a campaign event in New Hampshire. Referring to Trump, Biden declared "we are going to lock him up."
