Hispanic realignment: Trump flipped county with highest Puerto Rican population | Eastern North Carolina Now

first time in 20 years it went Republican

ENCNow

After a comedian whose ancestry was part Puerto RIcan made a joke about Puerto Rico at a Trump rally, the Democrats pounced, screaming their usual "racism" and predicted it would crush Trump with Puerto Rican voters.  Funny thing about that because the opposite happened.  As with other Hispanic voters Trump's numbers climbed significantly.

The largest Puerto Rican vote in the country by percentage of population is Osceola County, Florida, south of Orlando, which is over 26% Puerto Rican.  It had been a reliably Democrat county for twenty years until Trump won it this year with 56.1% of the vote, a 13 point spread over Harris.  In contrast, Biden won the county by almost 14 points and Hillary Clinton won it by almost 25.  This was a 27 point swing in Trump's favor in four years and a 38 point swing in eight years.

Exit polls show that among Puerto Rican voters in Osceola County, Trump received 50.2% to Harris' 48.7%

Similar patterns emerged among the Puerto Rican community in many locations, although not as much so in the northeast.

It is great that the British media provides us with information like this which the American MSM does not.  As least the conservative media in the US are taking note of the movement of Hispanic voters:
