Texas state official will be key to making Trump mass deportations work smoothly | Eastern NC Now

use of state land will speed up the process

ENCNow

Conducting a mass deportation of illegal aliens in the country, starting with the criminals was a major commitment of President Trump, and he has appointed strong officials to make it happen.  Multiple polls show a strong majority of Americans are in support of this policy, but moving quickly and efficiently will be important.

A key figure in helping assemble the resources necessary for the mass deportation is Texas General Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, a conservative Republican.  The Texas General Land Office controls 13 million acres of land in the state and Buckingham has pledged to allow the Trump administration to use any of it they need for the deportation efforts.  She has already arranged with incoming Border Czar Tom Homan to let DHS use a 1,402 acrea state-owned ranch in the Rio Grande Valley for a detention facility.

Commissioner Buckingham points out that federal procedures to aquire land are time consuming, so the state stepping in to provide the land will speed up the process and save federal taxpayers money.  She stressed the importance of getting the deportation process moving.

Meanwhile, Mexico has announced it will open shelters for its deported citizens on US inauguration day, Jan. 20.

Tom Homan is clearly wasting no time getting the deportations of illegal aliens organized, and it is great having partners like Ms. Buckingham in Texas pitching in.
