US House passes Laken Riley Act to detain and deport illegal alien criminals | Eastern NC Now

includes illegal aliens charged with all types of theft

ENCNow

The first legislation to crack down on illegal migration, the Laken Riley Act, has passed the US House by vote of 264 to 159, w;ith 48 Democrats crossing over to vote with all 216 Republicans.  159 Democrats voted against it.  It will now go to the Senate where Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) is a co-sponsor.

The bill requires that all illegal aliens charged, arrested, or convicted of a wide range of crimes including any form of theft be reported to ICE for detention and deportation.   College nursing student Laken Riley was kidnapped and murdered by an illegal alien in Georgia, who had previously been convicted of theft in New York, but was still given a free plane ride to Georgia where he committed the murder.

Great news! THe Senate has announced the Laken Riley Act will be brought to the floor, as they have the 60 votes to pass cloture. This will be the first bill that President Trump will get to sign into law in his new term.

This is a good first step. It is amazing how many anti-America Democrats seems to have no problem with allowing illegal aliens who have committed other crimes remain in the country. Of course, all of them should go, but deporting the criminals is the first priority.

What I would like to see in legislation is a provision that anyone injured by an illegal alien in any manner can sue anyone who previously harbored that illegal alien such as a sanctuary state or city or a pro-amnesty NGO or someone who employs them.
