climate change fanatics want to bankrupt the entire world | Eastern NC Now

time for more common sense like the new Trump administration

ENCNow

Danish environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg has authored an article in the New York Post calling out climate change fanatics for trying to wreck the economy of the world with their outlandish demands.  Lomborg is the former director of the Danish government's Environmental Assessment Institute and is currently president of the environmental think tank Copenhagen Consensus Center.

Dr. Lomborg pointed both to the heavy economic impact of the demands of the climate fanatics and to meta studies on the impacts of warming in the climate that showed impacts were not nearly as dire as projected by the climate fanatics.

Fortunately, America has returned to common sense.  President Trump has taken America out of the Paris Climate Accord and halted leases for offshore wind turbines that are both economically and environmentally destructive.  He has also halted Biden's march toward electric cars.

Things are also moving in the right direction in coalition talks in Austria between the populist nationalist anti-immigration right Freedom Party and the traditional conservative Peoples Party.  Both have already agreed to focus budget cuts on reducing or eliminating environmental subsidies for things like solar panels and electric cars.

Elsewhere in Europe, similar issues are gaining steam.  The surging AfD in the upcoming German election has called for restarting nuclear and coal plants for cheaper electricity and stopping construction of expensive and unreliable wind turbines.  In the UK, the Reform Party, which calls the Net Zero CO2 crusade "Net Stupid" has surged in the polls to where the party is tied for first place and its leader Nigel Farage tops the poll as the prefered prime minister.
