DOGE finds $100 Billion in gov't payments with no SS # or other ID number | Eastern NC Now

Early after getting DOGE on the job, Elon Musk announced that they had found that the Treasury Department policy was to never question any payments, just pay them, and this had been going on a number of years at the direction of Treasury's most senior career official.  That offical proceeded to resign, almost immediately after that announcement.

Now Musk has announced more of what DOGE has found in Treasury's records.  His team has found $100 Billion that has been being funneled by Treasury to accounts with no traceable social security number or other ID number.  Treasury officials admitted that at least half of those were probablly fraudulent, but they were being paid anyway.

But Musk and DOGE did not stop at just identifying the problem.  DOGE and Treasury worked out a plan that both agreed to which will hopefully fix the problem and claw back at least $50 Billion of fraud.

Democrats apparently want to make the govenrment safe for waste and fraud and that is why they are trying to stop DOGE from digging it out.
