EV bus maker Biden + Harris pushed for school buses files bankruptcy

As part of their climate crusade, both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris pushed for school districts to move to battery electric school buses. The electric bus maker they champioed for this purpose was Lion Electric. The Biden regime dumped $160 million into this project.

Now Lion Electric has filed for bankruptcy and laid off all its employees. It is estimated that school districts are out another $95 million for school buses that have not been delivered.

This is just more grift from the Climate Industrial Complex.

But there is a silver lining. At least children will not be exposed to the danger of having to ride in buses that can too readily spontaneously combust, as has happened already to buses in Massachusets, France, the UK, Korea and other places. A video of an electric bus in Paris that spontaneously combusted soon after finishing a route (with the riders fortunately off of it) shows the danger children would have been in:

Not only are electric buses dangerous to occupants when they catch fire, but look at all that air pollution when their lithium batteries burn. Unlike CO2, which is a vital nutriet for plants and harmless to animals, smoke from burning lithium is highly toxic and can cause conditions that are fatal.

Although their lithium batteries are much smaller, that also applies to elect cars as well. While I applaud the great work Musk is doing at DOGE and his steadfast fight for freedom of speech, that would never lead me to buy a Tesla or any other electric car.

Imagine if that electric bus that burned up in Paris had been a school bus full of kids driving down the road when its battery decided to spontaneously combust and burn up the bus. How many would have made it off? Electric buses are death traps and should not be used as school buses.
