ICE is now escalating its enforcement efforts, utilizing the federal felony statute on harboring illegal aliens. ICE raided a Texas bakery and arrested eight illegal aliens working there. Then they arrested the owner of the bakery for harboring illegal aliens. The federal criminal statute for harboring illegal aliens has been almost never used in the past. It carries a serious penalty. It is clear that it will now be a tool in President Trump's deportation efforts, and the word will travel to others harboring illegal aliens, both employers and NGOs.

A long time ago, maybe even a decade, I saw either DOT or City of Washington workers out near the highway by my land. (I have forgotten which). I had a question, so I went out to one and started speaking. He told me he didnt speak English. Was this person an illegal working for our Govt? He obviously hadnt been here long enough to learn any English.
I have been told by an illegal that when stopped by police for driving without a license... they let him go w/out even a ticket. A lot of "oversight" is needed. |

There needs to be more penalties for those who hire illegal aliens. When Boris Johnson was UK prime minister, British immigration authorities went after both employers and landlords of illegal aliens with fines.
In this Texas case, it appears that the two owners of the bakery not only hired these illegal aliens but also provided them a place to live. We need more of these prosecutions, including the NGOs that harbor them. Employers and landlords ought to be put in a position where illegal aliens are radioactive, a ticket to prison. City officials who put them up in hotels ought to also be arrested for harboring illegal aliens. |
