declares law unconstitutional

ENCNow

A county sheriff in Washington state has declared that he will not enforce the state's new gun control law in his county.   Pierce County Sheriff Keith Swank says the law in unconstitutional and will not be enforced in Pierce County.

"The Pierce County sheriff's office will not engage in enforcing politically motivated mandates," Swank declared.. "Instead, we will continue to prioritize enforcement efforts on criminal activities that pose significant threats to public safety."

When Trudeau passed sweeping gun control legislation in Canada a few years ago, multiple provincial governments refused to enforce it in their provinces.
