Federal judge strikes down law giving illegal aliens in-state tuition in Texas-filed challenge | Eastern NC Now

Texas AG Paxton filed case, backed by Trump administration

ENCNow

Federal District Judge Reed O'Connor, a Bush appointee, has ruled that a federal law that required states like Texas to give in-state tuition to certain illegal aliens was unconstitutional.  The  action was brought by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and supported by the Trump administration.

Judge O'Connor noted that the federal law gave illegal aliens preference over many American citizens.  Texas was fortunate that they drew an honest Bush judge instead of a crooked Obama judge or crooked Biden autopen judge.
