TIllis on BBB: ok with $4 Trillion tax increase to save Obamacare Medicaid expansion | Eastern NC Now

wants to hellp welfare recipients and willing to gut taxpayers to do it

ENCNow

Medicaid is a form of welfare, and under Obamacare, states could increase the income limits for people to qualify for it, but that was optional with the states.  Polls consistently showed NC Republican voters opposed to expanding this welfare program.  At first, enough of our legislators agreed with their voters and blocked the expansion of this program in our state.  Then it became Roy Cooper's top issue, and Phil Berger and Tim Moore caved in to him, passed a bill for the expansion.

So when crybaby Tillis pitches his tantrum over Medicaid in the Big Beautiful Bill what is he boo-hooing over?  The bill would require able bodied adult Medicaid recipients to work for their welfare.  It would also eliminate illegal aliens from getting this welfare program.  It would also change the program to eliminate the way Berger and Moore paid for their Obamacare Medicaid expansion, so that Medicaid would revert back to pre-Obamacare standards.

Under Obamacare, most of those who were added to Medicaid already had health insurance through their employers.  When a state expanded Medicaid, that was no longer allowed under Obamacare rules and these people were forced off of their employer provided healthcare and onto Medicaid, many times losing their doctors in the process, since many doctors do not take Medicaid.  Small businesses were hurt because smaller worker pools for their higher paid workers meant higher health insurance premiums.

So what happens now?  These workers again become eligible for employer provided health care, and it will be paid for through their jobs instead of by the taxpayers.  Why does "Obamacare Thom" Tillis become such a pathetic crybaby over that?

Tillis' vote would slap a $4 Trillion tax increase on American taxpayers, and he is willing to see that happen to protect an Obamacare program?  It will be good to see a slimy socialist politician like that out of office!

And lets not forget the other things Tillis had problems with in the BBB.  Tillis also denounced it for eliminating Biden's massive Green New Deal boondoggle and opposed its "no tax on tips" provisions.  Of course, thanks to Senate RINOs, it now only cuts half of Biden's Green New Deal instead of all of it as the bill originally passed the House.

Now that Tillis isn't running for re-election he doesn't have to pretend to be a republican or conservative, his true colors come out, full blown democrat which we knew all along.

Typical Tillis - trying to protect the giveaway welfare programs while screwing the taxpayers. That is one of the big reasons that so many of us are happy that Tillis will be GONE.
