Friends and Neighbors of our Great City of Washington | Eastern North Carolina Now

I am honored to announce my candidacy for City Council.

Press Release:

I am honored to announce my candidacy for City Council. Over recent years, I believe our city has appeared rudderless and without clear direction. The voices of the people are often unheard, and their concerns overlooked. If these issues are left unaddressed, I fear our beloved Washington may follow the path of nearby towns and become another ghost town.

Our current council has increased taxes and allocated funds toward projects that benefit few, rather than the community as a whole. The proposed transformation of 15th Street into a bypass highway threatens the safety and integrity of our neighborhoods. Moreover, there are troubling reports of targeted actions against individual citizens and businesses, motivated by personal and political agendas.

I believe in holding our city government accountable, prioritizing transparency, and working tirelessly for the benefit of all residents. The city of Washington deserves leadership with character, conviction, and the strength to stand up for what is right.

Together, we can turn our city around and restore its vibrancy. I humbly ask for your support in this endeavor.

Please vote for me, Nick Fritz, for City Council this year.

Thank you for your trust and support.

    Sincerely,

       Nick Fritz

Correction, Nick. The Republicans would win by the Conservative Unaffiliated vote and not by the Republican vote alone. The same applies to the Farrahkrats running under the Dr. Moore Platform.

Don't try to sell folks a used car here, bruh. People do Carfax reports.

If Miss Ellen wins, she will be the first Female Unaffiliated Mayor in the history of Washington. If the County GOP wants to attract more Rock Stars for local leadership, the need to engage after the younger-middle aged voters, who are most Unaffiliated or Independent now, instead of banking on the "old vote". The cards ain't where they used to be.

Washingtonian - If you really want to see who runs city government, go to a council meeting and open your eyes. You will see the mayor constantly looking at his phone and his wife in the audience texting away. The mayor has three go-fers on the city council that he needs to exercise power and defeating them will gut the mayor's power. Even better, replace the mayor, too.

Nick, arent you the candidate that said you thought the City should give, not rent, homes to the people it selects?
Didnt you express the thought that the City manager was awesome? I consider him, not the Mayor, the head of the snake.

Nick: If we elect three council members, out-of-the-box thinking governing officials such as yourself, wise decisions can made; low hanging fruit can be handled and dealt with effectively.

Governing is not Rocket Science; however, it does appear to be so for the many politicians /governing officials here in Beaufort County.

Stan, we have a real opportunity during this election. Lou Hodges is not running; William Pitt withdrew from the race; and Brooks barely skated in last time. That's three potential seats. If the conservatives in Washington really turn out this year the Republicans will control the Washington City Council for the first time in living memory. We can accomplish amazing things. If we use that wave of enthusiasm we can tip the scales during the County Commisioners race and we can have the the city and county controlled by conservatives! This is the year to make great things happen! Let's ruduce property tax to nearly zero percent, trim the budget by 10%, cut utility costs by 10%, and ferret out all corruption, waste, fraud, and abuse!

As a county commissioner, who taxes the public to pay for the Sheriff's Office for North Carolina's 5th largest county, in size for both land and water, I have to question: Why does relatively tiny Washington have such a large Police Department, and how does it have the resources to surveil anyone that is not a criminal?

So if I were to drive by my ex-wife's house in Virginia just to see if she's there, for two weeks, that would be surveillance....or stalking?

Surveillance- Close observation of a person or group, especially one under suspicion.

The act of observing or the condition of being observed. Oversight; watch; inspection; supervision

These idiots in the City Government don't have business putting air in a tire. They've screwed their self with a foot long shaft and it's right on going deeper.

It has been reported on this platform that one of our City Council members does NOT even live in Washington.
I wonder if the City police were sent to verify that all the Council members live where they say they live?
Its been reported on WITN at www.witn.com that the police were surveilling Ellen Brabo to verify that she actually lived at the B & B.
Shouldnt the police do the same for Council members?
