new study: Electric vehicle fast chargers DOUBLE local air pollution | Eastern NC Now

not se environmentally friendly after all

ENCNow

A new study by scientists at the University of California at Los Angeles of electric vehicle fast charger stations has found that they more than double the level of air pollution in their vacinity.  The particular type of pollution they generate is fine particulate matter which can cause serious health problems.

One of the professors involved in the study noted that no amount of fine particulate matter is safe.  It can penetrate deep into the lungs and bloodstream and cause breathing and cardiovascular problems.

The City of Washington, NC has installed several of these stations including one off of Stewart Parkway.  Citizens living in those areas should start asking questions about them.

This is hardly the first time that the climate alarmist "green" movement has actually caused MORE pollution.  In the UK a wind energy project had a million pound fine for a large fish kill and in Ontario, Canada four wind energy companies have been indicted criminally for multiple felonies of polluting the ground water, for example.

So much of the "green" agenda is in fact environmentally unsound. Wind and solar electricity are other examples of that.
