CNN poll: voters overwhelmingly trust Republicans on key issues over Democrats | Eastern NC Now
bodes well for GOP for midterms
Harry Enten, the data guy at liberal network CNN had some really bad news for Democrats as a result of their latest poll. On the major issues confronting America, voters put their trust in Republicans over Democrats. That is bad news for the Democrats hopes for the midterms.
On the economy, voter trust in Republicans is 7 points higher than for Democrats. On immigration, voters trust Republicans over Democrats by 13 points. On crime, voter trust in Republicans soars a massive 22 points ahead of Democrats. Voter trust in Republicans on key issues is much stronger than in 2024.
Democrats aren't selling what the American people want and their election hopes are fading as a result.

NC Democrats just showed how weak they are on crime with their State Senate walkout over a crime bill yesterday. The majority of Democrat state senators walked out in protest of the tough-on-crime bill while those who remained all voted against it. The bill ended cashless bail in NC, ended the "racial justice" commission responsible for letting the Charlotte Light Rail murderer stay on the streets, and provided alternative methods of capital punishment if lethal injections become unavailabler.
