Google admits political censorship, apologizes | Eastern NC Now

Google, a company with a long history of ignoring user privacy and of censoring their political adversaries, has finally admitted to one element of  its political censorship and apologized.  After buying YouTube, Google deplatformed many of  its existing content providers on the conservative side of the spectrum. Now, Google has admitted to that political censorship, apologized for it, and offered to reinstate the deplatformed conservatives.

Of course, this is only one part of Google's censorship.  They have been caught blocking conservative political emails on their Gmail platform while letting similar liberal emails through.  Google's search engine has been shown to be one of the most politically biased in existance.

Google's interference in the 2020 election was massive with bans and shadow bans of conservatives.  Some of their executives ought to be indicted for that.

Anyone who wants to avoid censorship and infringement on their own privacy should use Google's competitors.  For searches, their biggest rival, Bing, is more objective and honest.   For privacy protection as well as a more honest search engine, DuckDuckGo is even better.  The ultimate in objectivity and privacy protection, however is BraveSearch.

Google's Android phones collect your data, but several companies have developed de-Googled Android phones that strip out all of the Google elements that collect your data and replace them with privacy-protecting alternatives.  These can either be bought as programs that can change an existing phone, or one can buy new phones already de-Googled.   Search for "de-Googled smart phone" on eBay to find lots of options.
