Democrats vote to shut down government, then whine about it | Eastern NC Now

The Schumer Shutdown seems likely to happen after the Schumer Shakedown failed.  Republicans have put forward a "clean" continuing resolution, funding the government for 7 weeks until regular appropriation bills can be passed that just continues what is funded now.  Democrats price to pass anything is $1.5 Trillion of more deficit spending and cutting $50 Billion for rural health care.  Much of that new deficit spending is for health care for illegal aliens.  The Democrats want to cut health care for rural Americans but fund it for illegal aliens.

Chuck Schumer is wetting his pants in his fear of a primary from hard left AOC, so he is simply trying to out-Marxist her.  America is being held hostage to that little political charade.

The problem is in the Senate, where it takes 60 votes to avoid a fillibuster and Republicans only have 53 seats.  At least one Senate Democrat has exhibited common sense and blasted Schumer's shutdown shakedown.  That is Senator Fetterman of Pennsylvania.
