In defense of Palin and Bachman | Eastern NC Now

It seems that the Mainstream media suddenly woke up and determined that Palin should go away and Michelle Bachman should be muted. Maybe upon waking, they finally realized that the Congress has shifted in power? Upon seeing John Boehner sitting where once Nancy Pelosi sat, they quickly first pinched themselves and then scrambled to start "beating the war drums" to distract, deflate, and attack, and do everything short of running ads in the paper with pictures of them with mustaches.

    Why is this?

Because with a Republican House and the rise of the Tea Party, comes a new challenge to the left's progressive agenda. We are in a new environment where Tea Party influences to the GOP represent a big threat to the left.

Chris Matthews spews forth his nonsense to openly criticize Bachman before he even heard her speech, and this is journalism? His famous "thrill up his leg", must have progressed to paralysis. Too bad it didn't affect his mouth. The left must now work triple-time to take the steam out the new Congress and try as hard as they can to attack and expose the Tea Party as crazed white, racist, rednecks, which love guns and are religious fanatics.

This is the left's message. Distort the truth, and run with innuendo over what is factual. Palin and Bachman talk about return to family values, constitutional adherence, and a fiscally responsible smaller government that actually "Derives its powers from the consent of the governed".

Such talk represents a nightmare to the left who wants everyone shackled to the government teat. I say it's a better blueprint than what we have now. One that has so far, failed to make our lives better.
