New Congressional district map would move Beaufort County to 1st district | Eastern NC Now
new lines close to district configuration prior to 1992
A new redistricting plan that has been released would move Beaufort County from the 3rd district to the 1st district, and make the 1st district more Republican. It will be voted on in the Senate Elections Committee on Monday. The new map is fairly close to what the old 1st district looked like prior to 1992.
