Squad member Ilhan Omar tied to $1B Somali fraud in MN | Eastern NC Now

The New York Post is reporting that a number of connections have been found between far left Somali Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a member of The Squad, and the billion dollar taxpayer fraud committed by Somalis in Minnesota.  This is the same fraud that 480 employees of the Minnesota Department of Human Services has accused Governor "Tampon Tim" Walz of deliberately covering up.

One of Omar's own congressional staffers is a defendant in the series of cases, accused of stealing millions.  Omar herself introduced the legislation that facilitated about a fourth of the overall fraud.  Most of the fraud happened in Omar's own congressional district.  She has close personal ties to one of the defendants, frequents his restaurant, and held her 2018 campaign victory party there.

Will there be enough to indict Omar?  One can only hope.  She has been particularly silent as this has unraveled.

UPDATE:  Ilhan Omar has now been identified as one of several Minnesota Democrats who took campaign contributions from the scammers involved in these frauds.
