Sheriff Needs Help Finding Robbers in Bath | Eastern North Carolina Now

For Immediate Release:

    On October 31, 2013, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office responded to a breaking and entering at the Bath General Store in Bath, NC. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that two suspects had entered the store just before midnight on Wednesday, October 30th. The suspects entered the store by cutting a hole through the metal siding on the building. Once inside, the suspects broke into a floor safe and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

    Video surveillance in the store captured images of the suspects wearing masks and gloves. Investigators responded and processed the scene for evidence. Investigators believe the crime is related to a series of business break-ins that have been occurring in Eastern NC for several months. (see attachments)

    Anyone with information on the identity of these two suspects should contact the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office at (252)946-7111 or Beaufort County Crime Stoppers by phone, text or through their website. Call (252)974-6400; text a tip anonymously by dialing 274637 on a cellphone and in the body of the message, type BCSO131 and the tip; or submit a tip through the Crime Stoppers website, beaufortcountycrimestoppers.com, by following the "Tip Line" link and filling out an online form. Calls, texts, and emails are anonymous. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000.00 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Tipsters do not have to give their name to receive a reward.
