Will Senate RINOs help Democrats kill popular election integrity bill SAVE America Act? | Eastern NC Now

McConnell, Murkowski, and Cornyn may screw voters and help Democrats

ENCNow

An updated version of the SAVE Act, known as the SAVE America Act is poised for a vote in the House, but faces uncertainty in the Senate.  The bill would require proof of citizenship for registering to vote and a photo voter ID to vote in federal elections.  The original SAVE Act passed with bi-partisan support in the House.  Polls show over 80% of American voters support the legislation.

While passage in the House is certain, that is not true in the Senate.  Many Republicans point out that the only way to pass it through the Senate is to force a talking filibuster where Democrats are forced to stand up and talk until each of them has talked out two times;  Even running the senate for 24 hours 7 days a week that could take a month. Some RNOs would rather just fold and allow the insecurity in American elections to continue;

Three names are circulating as RINOs who may come to Chucky Schumer aid in thwarting this key election integrity legislation that is overwhelmingly supported by American voters.  They are Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski, and John Cornyn.  McConnell is retiring. Cornyn is up for election this year, and trailing in the polls to conservative primary challenger Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.  Murkowski  narrowly survived a major conservative primary challenge in the last election due to Alaska's bizarre ranked choice voting system.

On the Democrat side, however, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has announced his support for the SAVE America Act.

Sadly Congress no longer serves the people but their own special interest against the will of the people and have for a long time. IMO democrats appose it because they know that people will no longer be able to vote multiple times, the dead won't vote and all the non-citizens on the rolls will not be able to vote, so cheating will not happen as much. Don't get me wrong, it will still happen but it the SAVE Act should cut out a lot of cheating.
