Virginia Democrats declare war on the Second Amendment in new gun control bill | Eastern NC Now

Elections have consequences.  Virginia's new governor Abigail Spanberger claimed during the campaign to be a "moderate" but has turned out to be Mandani in a skirt.  One of her first moves was to make Virginia a "sanctuary state for criminal illegal aliens.  Now, she and Virginia Democrats are trying to revoke the US Constitution's 2nd Amendment.

Spanberger is poised to sign the most radical gun control bill ever proposed in Virginia.  It was introduced by a Democrat state senator who is an immigrant from Bangladesh and has passed both houses of the legislature.  It would ban the sale, import, or transfer of any weapons deemed "assault weapons" which are broadly defined.

In past Democrat gun control efforts, many Virginia sheriffs stood their Constitutional ground and declared that in their counties, they would enforce the US Constitution;s 2nd amendment instead of state gun control law.

Meanwhile, the Conservative provincial government is Saskatchewan in moving to protect its law abiding firearm owners from Canadian federal firearms laws.

We in Beaufort County should consider that elections have consequences.  We just voted out the strongest defender of gun rights in the General Assembly, Rep. Keith Kidwell, who was endorsed by by the Second Amendment organizations and has an A" rating with the NRA and replaced him with an upstart special interest hack who got an F grade from the NRA.  That is not the way to protect our gun rights.
