War on History - "woke" UK to replace historic figures with animals on currency | Eastern NC Now

The UK's leftwing Labour government, in conjuction with the Bank of England has announced their intent to replace historic figures on British currency with animals.  Sir Winston Churchill, for example, will be replaced by a hedgehog on the five pound banknote..  Politicians on the right from Reform UK to the Conservatives are fuming at this War on History.  Its supporters claim that historic figures of the past are too "divisive".

This is the same Labour Party that recently put out a report claiming that the country's national flag, the Union Jack, could be viewed as a "hate symbol".  Many Labour controlled local governments are restricting the flying of both the Union Jack and the traditional St. Georges Cross flag of England.
