Sharon Faye Denny Weatherly | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Sharon Faye Denny Weatherly, age 69, a resident of Pinetown, NC died Monday May 11, 2026, at her home.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday May 14, 2026, at the Yeatesville Cemetery officiated by Johnny Jones. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 13, 2026, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

    Sharon was born in Forsyth County, NC on June 11, 1956, daughter of the late Harold Vernon Denny, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Love Watkins who survives. She attended South Stokes High School in Walnut Cove, NC. On December 1, 2018, she married Mickey Wayne Weatherly who survives. During her working career she specialized in waitressing, having worked at Abrams Family Restaurant, the Helmsman Restaurant, and the Fish Hook Cafe all in Belhaven. In her spare time, she loved growing plants so she could witness her labor when the blooms came forward. She also enjoyed reading and baking.

    Surviving along with her husband Mickey, of the home and mother Dorothy Watkins of King, NC are her children: Rodney Gray Tuttle, Sr. and his wife Heather of Omaha, Nebraska, and Misty Cutler and her husband Brooks of Bath; brothers: Harold Denny and his wife Robin of King, Johnny Denny and his wife Shelly of Georgia, and Jeff Watkins of King; sisters: Gail Johnson of Logan, West Virginia, Chrissy Metzinger and her husband Bill of Kernersville, NC, Janet Combs of King, and Kim Tusing and her husband Scott of Indiana; and seven grandchildren Kaylie, Autumn, Gray, Taylor, Brayden, Zachary, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death, along with her father, by a brother: Ronnie Denny.
