What the globalists are doing in Europe to censor and surveil their citizens are an early warning signal of what the globalist left in America  will try when they get back in power.

New legislation in the UK on surveillance of their citizens is a huge red flag on what could happen here.   The UK's authoritarian Labour government has produced draft "child safety" legislation that would require Big Tech companies to build scanners that would surveil every photo, video, and message on cell phones and computers using their system.  It would provide a 5 year prison sentence for Big Tech company CEOs who refuse to comply.

This from a government that is also pushing for a required digital ID for every citizen using online platforms.  This is nothing short of totalitarian.

Meanwhile, former leader of the German police state, Angela Merkel, on receiving the European Union's first Order of Merit used the occasion to call for more censorship and surveillance of European citizens.  In her speech, she called for criminal prosecution of American tech companies for spreading what she deemed "misinformation" or "hate" online. "I can only encourage you to continue regulating social media," Merkel declared.

Merkel began her political career as chief of ideology of the Young Communists of East Germany.  It does not seem that she has changed much from those days
