Anti-immigration One Nation Party wins "safe" Labor seat in Western Australia special election | Eastern NC Now

For months now, Australia's populist nationalist anti-immigration One Nation Party has been leading in the polls in Australia.  It came in a strong second in this year's state elections in South Australia and won what had been a Liberal safe seat in the national parliament in a special election in the state of Victoria.  All of this from a party that only got 3% of the vote in last year's national election for parliament.

In addition to its strong stand against illegal immigration, One Nation is also very vocal in opposition to expensive "Net Zero" (green new deal) climate policies.  It is strongly opposed to Labor government policies that push wind and solar power.

Now, One Nation has reached another milestone, winning a special election for its first parliament seat in the state of Western Australia.  To make the victory even sweeter, this seat was considered a Labor Party "safe seat" that had been held by that party for decades.

The One Nation Party is led by Senator Pauline Hanson.
