British Labour prime minister announces Orwellian=style '"Ministry of Truth" | Eastern NC Now

The UK's prime minster has announced something America's Democrats have   pushed for, a government run agency to declare what information is "true".  This smacks of the "Ministry of Truth" in George Orwell's dystopian novel "1984"

Prime Minister Andy Burnham chose his speech to the United Nations to announce that his government will establish a Centre for Information Defense to "detect, attribute, and disrupt hostile information attacks and stop distorted and untrue narratives about Britaio".   This comes from a cousntry that has already arrested thousands of people for online posts that they declare "hate speech".  There is a clear political bias in such arrests.

Given the attempts to do something like this under Obama and Biden have tried to do the same thing, here and abroad, should concern everyone if Democrats regain power.  That  espespecially true with the socialists are taking over the party/
