20 Democrat Attys Gen. sue to protect welfare handouts to migrants and immigrants. | Eastern NC Now

Twenty Democrat Attorneys General have filed a lawsuit to try to protect welfare handouts to both illegal aliens and immigrants.  As usual, they have filed this politically charged lawsuit in a court where they hope to get assigned to a politically motivated Obama judge or Biden autopen judge.

Laws to stop those here illegally from accessing welfare and other government services were passed by Congress many years ago.  The Biden autopen regime put in interpretive regulations to try to get around these restrictions.  The Trump administration has changed those to try to protect the intent of Congress.

Federal law also prohibits accepting legal immigrants who will become a "public charge" and prohibits their access to government assistance for five years after arrival.  They also have to have an American citizen sponsor who promises to  provide their financial needs if the immigrant cannot do so themselves.

Republicans and the Trump administration are trying to enforce these taxpayer protection provisions adopted years ago by Congress, while Democrats want to get around them and use taxpayer money to subsidize both illegal aliens and legal immigrants.
