Leftwing Washington, DC PAC takes aim at NC conservative judge candidates in smear effort | Eastern NC Now

The far left does not want NC to elect conservative judges, and a leftwing political action committee in Washington, DC is putting in the dollars to try to stop the conservative judge candidates for the Court of Appeals.  They are sinking to a dirty smear campaign to try to elect leftwing Democrats instead.

The PAC doing the postcard advertising is something called the "State, Local Election Alliance" and it is housed in the Washington, DC office of the Jane Fonda Climate Action, They are right in there with Hanoi Jane.

The smear they run is a common one for Democrats this year, associating them with Harvey West.   West had one incident decades ago where he pled guilty to a sex offense with a minor, but has been a solid citizen, happily married, off the sex offender registry, for decades.

Here is the guilt by association.  For a number of years, the First Congressional District Republican Party, the NC Federation of Republican Men, and the AL-PAM Republican Club have co-sponsored a Down East Judicial Picnic.  Candidates running for judge attended.  The event was held in the expansive backyard of the West's rural home.  That seems to be enough for the Democrat smear machine to claim "ties to a pedophile".

There is another far left PAC that calls itself NC Families First which is running the same smear on conservative Supreme Court candidate Sarah Stevens.  Curiously, Families First is also the name of a conservative Australian political party, but this group in NC is the polar opposite of them.

These are both dark money PACs so who funds them cannot be traced.  This is dirty politics at its worst.
