Voters have not punished any of the Gang of Five for the serious loses named in the first paragraph. The voters not holding commissioners individually responsible for their bad and expensive decisions has made our commissioners even more bold and lazy.

The national press is obsessed with gun deaths. These liberals never miss an opportunity to headline a gun death. The most recent usable sets of numbers on drug deaths, automobile deaths and gun deaths is 2009.

The liberal Gang of Five Beaufort County Commissioners declared victory at the County Commissioner meeting on June 4th with the passing of the 2012/2013 budget.

I downloaded the 2013 County budget (all 168 pages) and have been through every page in it. I worked my way through it one page at a time to get a "fix" on what's in it.

At the May 7, 2012, meeting we saw one of the most significant displays of bad government we have ever seen. The item on the agenda was simply: "Resolution to End Corporate Welfare In North Carolina and Beaufort County."
