RALEIGH: Governor Roy Cooper announced today $8.5 million in grants to fund 19 local parks and recreation projects across the state through the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund. The Parks and Recreation Authority approved the grant recipients at an Aug. 11 meeting.

Governor Pat McCrory visited Hammocks Beach State Park today to discuss the Connect NC bond proposal. Connect NC will invest a total of $67.3 million in 28 state parks. Of that total, $1.5 million will be invested at Hammocks Beach State Park.
