But I though you said she won the popular vote. I am trying to paint a good face on this for our Democratic friends.

Commented: Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 @ 10:45 am By: Bobby Tony
It is too early to tell about the popular votesince only 97% is in thereported total. That confirms in my mind the value of the Electoral college which may need some tweaks but electing president by popular vote only will only help the big population urban centers and state. We were never meant to be a democracy rules by popular vote. I sometimes wish we would go back to electing Senators based on State rather than popular vote. More analysis to follow I am sure.

If only feelings could heal a wound, we would all be in a better frame of mind, But we would still be in a mess. I don't think that singing over a septic tank ever cleaned up the $h!t. Somebody has to get dirty.

But Just in case here goes.

I always thought that Reader's Digest was an oxymoron, but then again there was this fellow Cliff who helped me get through most of my college classes. I will put that Pete and Repeat on the development list for future 1.001 release. I need to get back to my acceptance article now.

TMc, I have just had a chance to review your proposal. The first thing I noticed is that you have set you goals too low. These articles are much too valuable to use a cheap cover and black and white pictures. In addition, anyone who has read my BCN post will know that I could never get my point across in 200 pages. I have revised the price quote to reflect the first class offering in the proper context.

This is not merely a book of fluff, it is indeed C.R.A.P. ~ Collectibles, Rare And Precious . A salesman is got to dream boy, it comes with the territory.

Here is the revised quote:

I can save you all a bunch of time and effort. My Campaign may be in suspension but the fund raising continues. Who will pay me NOT to publish my memories? It appears that the real money to be made is in the shipping. Why sweat over a manuscript when you can charge 48% shipping charge for overnight delivery

For those who wondered Poli-Block does not work on BCN because information on this site is designed to advance factual thought rather than blind allegiance to uninformed opinion.

Thanks Stan, I am at a loss as to why that previous post resonates. It may be the Politics and Fire comparison. But to deflate my own bubble, it could be just an internet search about Politics and Physics which usually don't go together. It proves that one should be careful about what they write because you never know who will see it. (Thus, the Bobby Tony Pseudonym)

I will be one of the first to admit that sometimes I go a long way to make a point. My Dad used to call that going around you are a$$hole to get to your elbow. My effort in this article was to try to contrast the big picture to the actual ramifications on a micro day-to-day living level. This is not an abstract exercise in debating points but a crossroads in our path forward that may affect your neighbor or family. Can I get another Amen!

Dickey was perhaps what we used to call a "Gutsy Broad" back when that was considered a compliment and not a gender bashing term. Today it seems many are more concerned with the labels rather than the individual.

One of the little lessons I learned along the way is to try and take away something positive from everyone you meet. I dawned on me one day that I could go back in my memory and rescue that tidbit of exceptionalism that I did not realize about past associations in my life.

TMc, Do you know how difficult it is to keep from posting the same article twice? It is all I can do to separate the clean from the dirty articles, much less try to remember this 50+year old history. I just came across a new idea for my book library. When I finish reading a book I turn to page five and write in the margin.

BOBBY TONY YOU HAVE ALREADY READ THIS BOOK!!!

If my research is correct Mr. Boykin was only 26 years old in 1963. I think Palmer March must have been around 40. I often wonder if his family is part of the Palmer March house ancestry.
Commented: Thursday, November 3rd, 2016 @ 8:13 am By: Bobby Tony
TMc, Well I started out strong, quickly lost interest and went downhill from there. In my own defense, I already had enough credits to graduate and barely cracked a book my whole senior year.

As you probably remember, Palmer Marsh was the Chemistry teacher and I was a perfect angel in his class. He would have kicked my you know what if I pulled any stunts in his class.

Recent research shows that Mr. Boykin may be alive and well living in Decatur, Georgia at 80 years old. I have mailed this article to him with a handwritten apology. I hope he will find it in his heart to forgive me, but my real hope is that he does not even remember me which would be proof that I was not that bad a class clown.

My senior report card below seems to indicate that I would never have been considered a star student.

Not a day goes by that I don't get some email update about another celebrity claiming they will leave the country if Trump is elected.

I for one am extremely disturbed that none of them plan on leaving the country because we have even allowed Donald Trump to run. Surely the country is already slid into the abyss merely by allowing him to be on the ballot. I think any principled celebrity would understand that and leave before the election just because 48% give or take a few % of the country may vote for him.

Stan, that injury may have been one of those God Winks that I have written about. But I will be willing to bet you that there are a few people in Beaufort County that swear you played without a helmet or face mask, but that would just be a guess.

I am not surprised that a former football player would notice the face-masks. If you look closely, the last row second from left is Benny Cox who had a broken nose as result of no face mask. You can barely see the band-aid on his nose. Below is a blow up of that picture and the cage mask that with a vertical bar he wore for the balance of his high school career. He was a great running back sadly passed away in 2010. He was quite the celebrity with his "boxer's nose" during his senior year.

I am afraid we are stuck with this level of candidates on both sides. What decent person with just a couple of blemishes in his past subject himself to this dive into the cesspool of politics? I still stand by my premise that the best way to govern at the local level where a smaller constituency has control. That too has its pitfalls as you know so well but at least bad governing affects fewer people and not the whole country. Come on in Diane, we are in need of a refresher course in States- Rights and smaller government.

Having read history, this is not the first or last election where personal accusations are thrown around. Some true some not, but any innuendo these days gets widespread coverage.

In the interest of complete disclosure, here is a picture of the Varsity Squad from the yearbook. I was on the "B" and am not in the picture. Of course for every tall tale there is the other side of the story. The "HILL" is behind this team shot showing that it in actuality just a steep hill and not the ˝ mile that I alluded to in the article. I may have to update the print version of this article, but the bar room version will remained unchanged.

There are at least two dynamics at work here.
The legal: Were any laws broken?
--or--
The Political: Is anything that Hillary says credible?

The real question before the voters now is also at least two dynamics.
Do we want to get our pound of flesh for broken laws?
--or --
Do we want to elect someone who will try to redirect the course of this country toward a brighter future?

We, as voters are can only control the second question. Any time we spend debating the legalities is wasted effort at this time, but may influence some undecided voters. The legal system will handle the rest regardless of who is elected.
One is a matter for judges and lawyers, the other is a matter for voters.

Well, in 1961-62 most of the girls were good gate keepers. Since pantyhose was not yet a big fashion fad, the goal was just to do some reconnaissance around the garter belt. However, with a stereo player and the 1958 album Johnny Mathis's Greatest hits a fellow could dream.

And I say to myself
"It's wonderful, wonderful
Oh, so wonderful, my love"

I am afraid that no matter who wins there will be investigations on top of investigations. Impeachment will serve no useful purpose except to stir the stink pot. I would rather the republicans spend the next two years trying solve their identity crisis. The division between conservatives and moderates serves no one but the democrats. Republicans tend to eat their own. I just wish the Libertarian party could get their act together and find a decent candidate and I could say good bye to both Dem & Rep for good.

Meanwhile the bubble brewing in the stock market and economy will explode regardless of who is in charge. Book report to follow on David Stockman's book "Trumped." He is an equal opportunity basher of both parties when it comes to economical theory.

I have been very reluctant to pile on James Comey. The main reason is that I have a friend who is retired from the FBI and he says Comey is an upstanding guy and that the culture in the FBI is to keep personal politics out of the job.
Another reason is that I have carefully followed the actual statements and testimony of James Comey. He has gone to great lengths to only address the facts. Finally, I make it a habit to assume that someone is adhering to the proper procedures until it is proved otherwise.

Now we are deep in the weeds about a conspiracy that Comey will announce that after a through investigation they have found nothing improper and Clinton did not commit any crimes. Once again the tide will shift to the Republicans saying Comey is a dirtbag.
At some point there will have to be a come to Jesus meeting with Hillary.

In 1974 Three leading Capitol Hill Republicans - Senate Minority Leader Hugh Scott of Pennsylvania, Barry Goldwater of Arizona and House Minority Leader John Rhodes of Arizona - told embattled President Richard Nixon he did not have the support to survive impeachment proceedings.
Are there any principled Democrats around now?

I found a partial clip of Mika from this morning show that prompted this article above. It pains her to admit this but even Mika has to face what at best is poor judgement and at worse is criminal. The clip is only two minutes long but it shows a light bulb beginning to glow in Mika's mind.

I think the Clintons have channeled the "bimbo eruption committee" and re cast it as the "email eruption committee." I am just waiting for the "I did not have relations with that Huma Mahmood Abedin computer." I can say that they are at least covering it because they must set up a after election excuse should their candidate lose. Meanwhile, The Affordable Care act gets another pass from media attention.

I am doing my Monday morning duty and watching MSNBC Joe. Mika had a rare revelation that they may have a flawed candidate also. Then they had several people on who gushed over how fast the Clinton campaign pivoted and attacked Comey to divert attention from the content. We are back to the carnival again. MY post about THE DONALD last year has now expanded to the Dem's as well. Get the popcorn. Unfortunately it is not so funny when you consider the consequences.

Now that the FBI had deviated from the new script and announced the re-investigation of emails by part of the Clinton Clique, we should pay close attention to CNN, MSNBC and other stations as they shift their news coverage to other 'BREAKING NEWS.' It could be another police shooting, an earthquake or maybe even just someone stumping their toe in a foreign country.

We must remember that our news outlets use the 'BREAKING NEWS' to choose which events take precedence over the rest of the news. It is an editorial decision, which is subject to the same bias as the actual reporting.

Even though I am trying to stay away from Election coverage (Early voted) I just had to turn to MSNBC to see how they would cover this. It appears that Comey has stepped in the proverbial pile of stuff since many of the pundits are saying this is a great miscarriage of FBI procedure by commented on the investigation.

I will use the probe joke but I am not sure I will attribute it to Fox. You know how that upsets the liberals.
