I'm curious. Does the Council members and Commissioners (and candidates) believe they are here to represent THE people, or rather to represent the local GOVT along with all its depts?
I think WeThePpl are last on the totem pole of concerns. I want to know as a citizen of the City and the County, do the Commissioners have any Duty/Responsibility to protect me from City corruption? I heard one Commissioner say that what the City does is not his concern. Also, the City/County purpose paving a roadway for 1.6 million. The Commissioner said: That's a lot of $$. Then another one said well half of that would be the City's part. WELL, the City has no $$. Its WeTheCitizens paying. If the County pays half and the City pays half, then that means, I AM PAYING 100%. Quit being so generous with OTHER PEOPLE's MONEY! Quit treating Money like it's FREE.

Stan, I listened to table talk. Thanks for your time doing this.
I think this should be done EVERY WeeK until the election. We need to know more!! Time is short and this election is critical. We cant afford another corrupt Govt. Lastly, You should invite us to send you OUR questions. I want to know what these candidates think the role of the City Manager is? The current Council thinks the City Manager is there to do their thinking for them. All Council meetings are choregraphed. Its just a performance, even the motions are written by the City Manager's "Team Players," for the Council members to read. I suspect they dont even know what they are reading, and the decision for how they vote has been pre-planned by "The Staff." "The Staff" is code word for the Manager's henchmen. We need new blood who will promise to do the work and think for themselves. I fear the new, will be the same as the old.

All Drug dealers are murderers. Their dealing results in a slow, if not fast death of our children, and their Moms, and Dads, Aunts, Uncles and even WHOLE COMMUNITIES. They should get life in prison.
I'll bet you didnt know... that some law enforcement agencies let dealers continue to operate uncharged, in an arrangement where the dealer, assists in the bust of "buyers," so that the officers can look like they are doing a really robust job of protecting the community.

It has been reported on this platform that one of our City Council members does NOT even live in Washington.
I wonder if the City police were sent to verify that all the Council members live where they say they live? Its been reported on WITN at www.witn.com that the police were surveilling Ellen Brabo to verify that she actually lived at the B & B. Shouldnt the police do the same for Council members?

It was reported today on Foxnews by Perino and Hemmer that most people know much more about their National govt and politics, than they do about their own local Govt. I think this is the case, here with us.
We get the Govt we deserve. Its how we end up with a CORRUPT local Govt, deaf and dumb elected people, and local bureaucrats who think WeThePeople are just bothersome noisy bastards that need crushing. I appreciate Nick Fritz reaching out to us. But is he sincere? Time will tell. Will other candidates work to earn our vote?

Commented on Political SausageYes, when you live and work in a corrupt City like Washington, it is important that you are a "team player." You take your demotion with a smile and simply say "Yes sir, Mr City Manager, your wish is my command."
Why Couldnt our Police chief continue as Chief AND help the Detective Dept? Afterall Mr Drakeford who is Director of Public Safety has held multiple titles at the same time... Director of Public safety, Fire Chief, Police Chief, Deputy City Manager... Such a team player! He can do all the jobs for the City. I ask, why didnt WITN interview Mayor Sadler? Because everyone KNOWs that the City Council are all just puppets to the King of the City, the CityManager. By the way, Chief Drakeford doesnt want the city to be known as a ticket city, so you can bet the police officers heard that, and stopped bothering to write speed tickets. Then how did the School Board members' discussion reduce it to a 4 ac purchase for $500,000? Did no one on the School Board feel robbed and then demand a Title Search???? Thanks in advance, Befuddled.

Did Cheeseman go to th SchoolBoard members & ask what should we do abt this? Or did he skip them & go straight to th CityManager, skipping th CityCouncil as well? Then did th CityManager&Cheeseman contact the CountyManager & discuss what to do, skipping th CountyCommissioners at this time too? When Cheeseman was meeting w th CityManager,& asked What is th land worth in $$, did he say $1million? And then did Cheeseman say What abt 1/2 of it? Then did th CityManagr independently,& exclusive of the CityCouncil quote to Cheeseman $500,000, to which Cheeseman sd, Okay if I can get th 4 Useful Idiots to say yes? And then, w nothin more than these 3 bureaucrats agreeing,did Cheeseman go to th CommissionerMeeting & say, Well th CityManager says $500,000, to which th 4 sd, "Tell me NO more, LET's DO THIS ASAP."

Commented on Let's Get It Right!Everyone seems to have moved on to the Snowden School issue, but I'm still stuck at the 9 1/2 ac lot debacle that the schools system thought it owned.There seems to be a lack of competence galore. Not only the 4 jerks on the Commissioners Board, who could easily be nicknamed the 4 clones of Sgt Shultz, but also the School Board members who seemed to have played Zero role in the transaction. Thus we could nickname them Sgt Shultz's too. Then there is the City Council members who seem to be another body of Sgt Shultz's.
Who were the players? As far as I can tell, Cheeseman put his head together with the City Manager and agreed on a $500,000 price tag for HALF the 9 acs they thought they owned. Out of these three bodies, no one said, Hey maybe we need a Title Search, and NO ONE said, Maybe we should negotiate this price on behalf of the taxpayers? Why didnt they? It stinks galore! It feels like a lot of money laundering between Governmental bodies at the detriment of the taxpayer.
