Governor Pat McCrory announced today North Carolina has paid off the unemployment insurance debt owed to the federal government. That debt was as high as $2.8 billion and stood at $2.5 billion when Governor McCrory took office in January 2013.

East Carolina University will use a $100,000 grant from the State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) Foundation to fund up to 20 summer internships for undergraduates interested in careers in leadership positions in rural North Carolina communities.

The North Carolina Council of State unanimously approved an agreement today that will sell the 300 acre-plus Dorothea Dix campus to the City of Raleigh for approximately $52 million. The agreement was reached by the McCrory Administration and City of Raleigh earlier this year.
