Warm or cold ocean water temperatures are what drive the El Nino / La Nina cycles that last 2 or 3 years and then reverse. We are currently in a strong El Nino period. El Nino or La Nina has a very significant impact on temperatures and rainfall on land.

Climate science has long known of the multi-century warming and cooling cycles the Earth goes through, and the last previous warming cycle, the Medieval Warm Period, was warmer than today for several hundred years. The biggest warm period, the Holocene Maximum, was much warmer than today for three thousand years. Northing bad happened to Earth in any of the previous warm periods. Indeed humanity suffered worse in the last cooling period, known as the Little Ice Age or the Maunder Minimum.
If one actually looked at how the greenhouse effect works, it is clear that the greenhouse effect is NOT involved in current warming. If the greenhouse effect went away, the Earth would be far too cold to sustain life. All of that is explained in that British TV documentary. Like most far lefts types, you take a small piece of information and twist it into something you claimi in major but it is not.

A physicist understands how all the processes involvee actually work, and can understand the fact that CO2 has never driven climate in the past and does not do so now. And the mad scientist in Sweden who invented the manmade CO2 global warming theory back in 1896 was, guest what?, a physicist. The theory had so little credibility that it was totally forgotten until someone dredged it up in 1981.
There are scientists expert on the climate and in fact who have attended the UN's climate chanage conferences who are interviewed in that British TV documentary who tear the manmade CO2 theory of global warming to shreds. The climate alarmist scientists rely on the voodoo science of computer modelling. When one sets up a computer model, they can set it up to produce whatever range of results they want. One of the sets of facts that disproves the manmade CO2 theory of global warming is the relationship between warming and the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. If CO2 caused warming, itcreases in it would precede warming, but it doesn't. Instead it does the opposite and lags substantially behind warming, meaning it is a RESULT of the warming, NOT a cause of it.

And this is why internet science isn't science. The good Doctor is a Nobel Prize winner.....in theoretical physics. He doesn't "believe in climate change". A smart man for sure, but not an expert on climatology. Remember anyone can say anything. An expert on one topic doesn't make one an expert on all topics.
The internet is an amazing tool, but it will make a fool out of you if not careful.

It is a safe bet that the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Physics knows a whole lot more about this climate controversy than a far left internet troll who is given to sweeping denials of whatever contradicts the leftwing political narrative.

"Stupid" may indeed be an apt term for those climate alarmist scientists who made all those outlandish claims that never came true, but given what was exposed in the Climategate emails, I think "deceptive" might be a more accurate term.
On the other hand, the scientists who exposed the lack of a sound basis for the global warming / climate change theory based on manmade CO2 are spot on.
