Big Bob: That is one man's opinion at one time, and that does not make it part of our Founding Documents.

Jefferson immortalized the phrase in a letter to the Danbury Baptist Association. Concerned about their status as a religious minority, the Baptist community penned a letter to the president expressing fear about religious persecution. Jefferson responded, emphasizing that the First Amendment's free exercise and establishment clauses together built "a wall of separation between church and state."
Have a nice day!

Still, you made a good enough point that Big Bob took issue with it, so by that alone, your comment has much merit.

Countrygirl is right that "Separation of Church and State" is not in the Constitution. The First Amendment only allows for a wide ability to worship as people see fit. No where is it stated in any Founding Documents - documents passed by a ruling body - that this is a 'secular nation,' self-governed by a "secular government."

Anyone advocating for a theocracy is advocating for civil war and violence. No person will stand for another forcing their region on them. That's the beauty of a secular government. We all get to live and conduct our personal business privately. In the town square, we are equals and have equal rights. White males are no better or worse , than anyone else.

Separation of church and state is in the 1936 Constitution of the USSR
ARTICLE 124. In order to ensure to citizens freedom of conscience, the church in the U.S.S.R. is separated from the state, and the school from the church. Freedom of religious worship and freedom of antireligious propaganda is recognized for all citizens. And in the 1977 USSR constitution Article 52. Citizens of the USSR are guaranteed freedom of conscience, that is, the right to profess or not to profess any religion, and to conduct religious worship or atheistic propaganda. Incitement of hostility or hatred on religious grounds is prohibited. In the USSR, the church is separated from the state, and the school from the church. Not in the USA Constitution.
