It just keeps coming out on these feckless California Democrats. That liberal mayor had actually pushed a $23 million budget cut for the fire deparment, but finally agreed to only a $17.6 million cut. She was warned those cuts would lead to risk of disaster from a major fire, and, guess what, it has. The mayor was also warned of major fire danger conditions setting up before she jetted off on her taxpayer paid junket to Africa, but she went anyway.
Governor Newsome deliberately dumped the water in California's resevoirs into the Pacific Ocean back when rainfall had them full because of some obscure environmentalist argument, so the water was not there for the fire hydrants in fire season. The policy blunders are legion in this fiasco from the liberal Democrat politicians.

It stood to reason that LIttle Bobbie would eventually get a far left talking point like that, and regurgitate it here. Look at my first comment on their thread two days ago. Now he has.
Let me explain some REAL climate science to Bobbie. Climate and weather involve a number of alternating climate cycles, some lasting months, some a year or two, and some for centuries. For California one set of cycles that is particularly important are the El Nino / La Nina cycles which rotate and tend to last a year or two, maybe three, and then reverse. An El Nino cycle which includes heavy rainfall just ended and a La Nina cycle with low rainfall and a propensity for higher winds just started earlier this year. California had a lot of rain from El Nino causing lots of brush to grow, followed by the drynees of La Nina that caused it to dry out, setting up a bigger fire danger. Add to that the La Nina propensity for higher winds when the annual and predictable Santa Anna Winds arrived, as they always do this time of year. This had NOTHING to do with CO2 and everything to do with the El Nino / La Nina cycle. The climate alarmist mafia are very predictable. The analogy to the medieval church for their pagan cult is a solid one. Anything bad that happens they want to jump up and blame on the fantasy "manmade climate change". These grifters are making billions off of this scam and they want to keep the gravy train rolling. They rely on low level know-nothing lemmings like Little Bobbie and Greta Thunberg to keep parroting their propaganda.

Those whose incompetence and ideological acts were responsible for this fire disaster SHOULD be blamed, and that type of politician should never be elected again.
I remember Jimmy Carter and his aptly named "Misery Index". I don't miss him or that one bit.

Maybe Little Bobbie can tell us which of these policies by Democrat politicians in California he finds commendable or even acceptable: 1) failure to clean the brush and deadfall that is fuel for wildfires, 2) failure to fill the resevoir that feeds the fire hydrants in time for fire season, 3) cutting $17.6 million from the Los Angeles fire department budget a few months ago,, 4) firing scores of experienced firefighters who refused the Covid shots and not rehiring them leaving the fire department undermanned, 5) implementing DEI in hiring in the fire department instead of qualifications to actually do the job. 6) refusing to accept President Trump's offer in his last administration for a program to direct more water resources to California?
Tell us, Bobbie, which of those you find acceptable?

I wonder how much of that $17.6 million cut in funding for Los Angeles fire department this year was related to getting more money shifted to subsidize Biden's flood of illegal aliens. I have not seen reporting on this, although in New York City, it has been reported that there were significant cuts in funding for law enforcement, libraries, and education to shift money to subsidize the mooching illegal aliens. A number of Democrat mayors have pushed tax increases on Americans to subsidize the illegal alien freeloaders.

Trump spoke at length in his Joe Rogan interview in the campaign about how California's policies created a fire danger and how they were stuck on those policies. He also pointed out that in his first term, he had arranged for a program to get California more water but that Democrat California Governor Newsome had refused to sign it. In this case, it is incompetent and agenda obsessed leftwing Democrats who are of at least two races, maybe more, responsible for the LA fire debacle. Bobbie wants to hide the ideological nature of this by talking racial nonsense. In this case it may only be to deflect.
As to the major players, the AWOL mayor is a black woman, the incompetent governor is a white man, the incompetent fire chief is a white lesbian woman, so it is quite a mix of identity. The one thing they have in common is that they are liberal Democrats. One wonders how much of that $20 million cut from the fire department budget went to fund illegal aliens?

How long will it be before the pagan religious cult of Climate Scientology claims this is a result of "global warming"? They are like the medieval church which claimed that anything bad that happened was a punishment from God.
