I was in a county commissioner meeting today that went on for nearly 7 hours.
A good bit of that time was dedicated to talking about Beaufort County education, which is a most important issue, but one that I did not proffer to the group; however, after reading this post and these many comments, I fully recognize why that topic was deliberately broached by other county commissioners. This public involvement shown here on this publication is a powerful indicator that there is a concerned, but good citizenry here in Beaufort County, who wish to make a positive difference in effective change to the status quo ... Thank-you good people; you are a service to our community.

Hillsdale's course is tradional history, not the woke crap that is being taught in so many public schools. It is used across the country and is a respected program. The racist program is CRT or its clones DEI or ESG, which are distorted history. As George Orwell wrote, "The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history." That is what the far left is now trying to do to our history.

When I was in the Jim Martin admninistration, the Democrat legislative majority grabbed some of the governlr's appointive powers. They also stripped the Lieutenant Governor of most of his legislative powers when Republican Jim Gardner won that position. They also moved most of the attorneys serving in the cabinet departments over to the control of the Democrat Attorney General. I understand there is a separate bill on the state Board of Education, and the legislature would not get appointments there. The voters would get elections to replace gubenatorial appointments.

Migrant push back policies are in force in a number of eastern European countries. Latvia and Poland have actively been doing that since Belarus started assisting the migrant invasion. There are some videos of Polish border guards blasting illegal aliens back across the border with water cannon in the middle of January, for example. Latvia's Interior Minister gave broad authority to their troops and border guards, authorizing "any level of force necessary" to stop them. Hungary gives an immediate pro forma hearing before a magistrate at the border before ordering them immediately expelled. Hungary and Greece have used deadly force to stop migrants trying to jump the border. The Hungarian border guards firing over their heads which was enough to make them turn tail and run but the Greek border guards killed and wounded some of the illegal aliens trying to storm the border.
The US badly needs strong measures like those used in eastern Europe to stop illegal aliens from entering the US.

We need to separate the wheat from the chaff in the next set of legislative primaries. The special interest hacks like Sen. Jim Perry and Rep. Tim Reeder need to go, and we need more conservatives like Rep. Keith Kidwell and Sens. Bobby Hannig and Norm Sanderson. We need enough conservatives to change out the rotten, corrupt leadership in both House and Senate.

I do not apologize when accused of obsessing about protecting children or about stopping violence. And, you still refuse to condemn the violent lynch mob attack on Riley Gaines. Little Bobbie, you condone the only recnet lynch mob. The only reason you did not join it, is probabely that you weren't there in San Francisco to do so.

A big thank you. As a beer lover, I find BL the absolute worst example of beer. I dont know how you guys drink it. Personally I'm glad and hope this makes room for small local brewers who almost always make a better product. Can we do Walmart next?

The bill that matters is the one to change the governance structure of NC's public schools at the state level. We now have a very "woke" state Board of Education due to appointees of leftwing governor Cooper. The change that is sought and that would empower parents and other citizens is to elect the state Board of Education from Congressional districts. That is a very needed reform.

You are parroting one of the climate cult's big lies, their claim that CO2 is "pollution" which it is NOT. CO2 is a necessary nutriet for plants. Without it, all plant life would die, followed by all animial life as the food chain collapsed. Plants take in CO2 in photosynthesis and give off Oxygen. It is part of the cycle of life. It is profoundly ignorant to call CO2 a "pollutant".
Alos, you climate cultists deny that the Greenhouse Effect is necesary for life to exist on Earth. Without it, the planet would be too cold to sustain life. You denigrate something that is necessary for life on earth. And you focus on some of the most minor greenhouse gasses. The most important greenhouse gas, responsible for over 90% of the Greenhouse Effect is water vapor. The pagan cult of Climate SCientology ignores climate history to make claims that have no basis in fact and demand that policy be massively adjusted to meet their demands.

If you would like to see a "Chicago Tap Dance" check out the next video of last night's School Board meeting on Cheesman explaining how to teach a child. That was the longest diatribe of nothingness I have witnessed. Typical Cheeseman, "I know everything". Sometimes things cannot be repaired. You just have to start over. Thank goodness we have a nucleus of three board members to build from. Get off the Socialist Woke bandwagon and get back to the three R's. Then we might begin to build a workforce in Beaufort County.

There are NO examples of violence against the self-styled "transgenders" but lots of examples of violence BY transgenders against others who do not knuckle under to their demands. There is the lunch mob that attacked Riley Gaines, that you refuse to condemn. There is the transgender terrorist who attacked the Christian school in Nashville, and the one in Colorado who was arrested before carrying out an attack on a Middle School. There were the tranny thugs who vandalized the home of a Utah state senator. The violence we should be concerned about is that FROM the transgenders, NOT toward them, because the latter is simply not happening while the former IS.
You still refuse to specifically condemn the REAL lynch mob that attacked Riley Gaines while you misuse the term against those you have an ideological disagreement with.

It is a big deal for all newly elected and appointed members of board and commissions to become a member of that club. Become an insider and make those decisions in the back room. The goal of corrupt chairmen and a club members is: no discussion, only come to the meetings to vote. The school board and county commissioners are eat up with this version of false loyalty.
