(commented on December 9th, 2025 @ 5:23 pm)Man glad Steve and Charles chimed in they will have an article soon as this has always been taught as it is a standard!! They for sure did not add this or make this be taught!! Hood yes I am an educator and enjoy my kids in the system. So from now on Hood go to a building and look but you would have to get out!!
(commented on June 30th, 2024 @ 5:55 pm)Concerned taxpayer a simple google search as your friend Donald would say winterville is larger, and many more. You sound like Biden this week deranged and stupid!! Just remember you are a Hood puppet.

(commented on January 22nd, 2024 @ 5:51 am)How many subjects can the powers at be get so wrong.
I have spoken to my town council & the county council of Norwich about my concerns, even my MP only to be ignored. Many people follow the wrong evidence, like climate change, so why don't we listen to Professors William Happer and Judith Curry respectfully.
I think there's NO money made from the truth in my opinion.

(commented on December 9th, 2025 @ 7:09 pm)Steve funny how you say cursive was not taught and now it is? So now you are on the board and know the truth and not listening to Hood you believe it!! Mmmmm The funny is a previous comment you said cursive was not taught but started back teaching. That is accusing teachers of not teaching standards I hope you got proof because we are licensed to teach the standards. If not you are now doing the Hood thing talking before you think
(commented on December 8th, 2025 @ 4:39 pm)Well Hood let’s discuss your inaccurate article again. This must be your aging mind or lack of knowledge. Cursive writing is taught my kids learned it well. I was sitting in the meeting you referenced behind you and had the position wrong dean of students. From what I saw you were asleep. As for CRT there is a policy on not teaching CRT in our schools. If you personally witness this being taught you should report the teacher to your board member. You would have to go a school that have not been inside one in 20 years as stated earlier this year in a meeting. So as you can see I used an alias name as all of your buddies Ray, Adam, Steve, Charles
(commented on August 12th, 2025 @ 4:28 pm)Oh the Hood speaks! So if you are reading why not publish your voter registration history complete history? Oh yea you live behind the dreams you, Ray (RINO HHNYER) and your minions dream of!!

(commented on April 26th, 2026 @ 11:55 am)The Tax Shenaniganry, within the City and Greater Beaufort County, has restricted independently owned businesses from establishing roots here.
Washington, back in the early 90's, was the go to place for Wolfman Jack and the players who he called to record with him. They came here because of location, people and comfort. Joe Walsh walked down to gas station on the corner of Market and Oakdale Cemetery, bought cigarettes and talked to the girls at counter for 15 mins; they had no idea who he was.
My point is that people liked to come here and spend money. Now, there is no appeal or incentive to do so. The powers that be don't, for some reason, seem to understand the revenue that could be generated by independent businesses... especially those in Audio/Film Production.
(commented on April 21st, 2026 @ 5:21 pm)Hood: I think that, while some strategies can be improved within the party, serious long-term damage has already been inflicted that can't be reversed.
There's 80 million people out there who have neither party nor representation; the Democrats went far left and the Republicans went cookoo far right leaving common sense conservatives from both sides of the aisle on their own....with nothing.
That, in itself, is enough to piss anyone off that has a vested interest. Then on top of that, you've got the Bizarro Republicans trying to convince everyone that they're not seeing what they're seeing in plain sight and that common sense conservatives are "conspiracy theoriests" or, wait for it, "anarchists" just trying to cause trouble. Trump has even made some comments about people who question Israel and Epstein.
We're in a very unconventional scenario that requires strategies based around open thinking and situational awareness. Critical thinking is is key.
(commented on April 21st, 2026 @ 11:12 am)I saw Fabulous Moolah's most recent video praising the new City Manager for defending "democracy" (we aren't a democracy nor is there a place for democracy per the Constitution); what a joke it was!
To sum it up with street terms: THE CITY doesn't want property taxes to decrease because THEY'RE going to have to cut "services" ("services" that THEY'VE sold to the public as necessity so they can steal MORE money FROM the public THROUGH said "services") and use Monopoly money, that they don't have but should, to cover the difference.
I'm not a fan of any of the actors we have on the City Council (they're all controlled opposition) BUT Fritz was right when he said the City is broke.
Funny thing.....some of us had been saying this long before any of those goons came into the picture. I wonder whose ideas they lifted????

Well as a lifelong Beaufort County resident your school board candidates there is only one that has been in Beaufort county and raised. One has many kids by different ladies while having affairs. One saw a sign and decided to run for school board. Beaufort County has woken up and sees the harm you have don for your worthless 27 years of service.

(commented on February 14th, 2026 @ 10:14 pm)Hood, in regard to your questions about CF filings (Campaign Finance, since you're probably not smart enough to figure out what CF stands for), all questions concerning any CF filings have been satisfactorily answered and a $500 fine waived. I have a letter from NCSBE stating such. So you can stop whining over this issue. The initial request for issues dating to 2021. I was not treasurer during this period but I researched and resolved these issues to their satisfaction. Their are NO OUTSTANDING ISSUES AT THIS TIME. DO YOU THINK A FINE WOULD HAVE BEEN WAIVED IF ISSUES WEREN'T SATISFACTORILY RESOLVED. WILL YOU BE ABLE TO HAVE YOU $500 fine waived. You are so full of yourself (didn't want to use a dirty word). You are the most devicive individual I have ever known and your club, no longer a PAC follows you blindly.
(commented on January 31st, 2024 @ 3:22 pm)Hood, all you do is make accusations. Provide real tangible proof that the accusations are true or take a nap, like you are known to do. Most of Beaufort County is tired of your bullying tactics. I for one agree with the idea of having sworn deputies as SROs. And yes, schools are only open 180 days per year. Given the broad geographic area that Beaufort County covers, I can imagine these SROs could be assigned to a variety of outreach programs for youth when they are not in school. As a teenager, when school was out, I spent the better part of the summer in a tobacco field. What programs or jobs for young teens are available in Beaufort County to help young people have something to focus on during the summer. An idle mind is the devil's playground. I wonder if the devil is playing in your mind when you're napping.
(commented on January 17th, 2024 @ 6:58 pm)To the readers of this rant by Hood, NC General Statute GS 47- 16.1 allows Registers of Deeds (ROD) to electronically record deeds and other documents normally kept in the ROD offices. Unfortunately, after 100's of years of recording and storing paper documents, many ROD offices are out of storage area, Beaufort County being one of those. There are currently 76 counties in NC (out of 100) that have transitioned to electronic recording. I'm sure Hood has been in the storage areas within the Beaufort County Courthouse and is aware of or chooses to ignore the lack of space. Carolyn Garris has resigned her position as Chairman of the Beaufort County Republican Party. Paul Varcoe has assumed her duties as he was the 1st vice-chairman. I'm sure you know Mr. Varcoe, he was the gentleman you charged with assault. Sadly, for you, in a court of law, you lost your case. I don't know Mr. Melton. No ill will intended, but I'm not sure his background makes him any more qualified than Mrs. Garris.
(commented on January 15th, 2024 @ 8:19 pm)For context let me ask.
Are you conservative or crazy conservative?
There is a big difference. I do not debate crazy.
If you want to talk about Jewish space lasers, anti vax or HC drinking the blood of children in the basement of a DC pizza restaurant, I’ll pass.
If on the other hand you have both feet planted on earth and a semblance of reality, I’ll giver it a go.
Which are you?
(commented on January 28th, 2024 @ 4:45 pm)What a waste of time discussing a stupid letter when they could have discussed what they are going to do about their failing schools! It is always about teachers getting upset or
offended because someone is trying to let them know our district needs to do better.
Our schools are failing because these boards member do absolutely nothing! They are idiots!! These board meetings are nothing but drama they have no resolutions.
(commented on January 15th, 2024 @ 2:23 pm)All board meetings should be on video and recorded!! Of course they keep making excuses. How about waste tax payer money on the digital signage crap they installed at the central office that no one looks at driving down hwy 264! I could write a book on the money this district wastes!!
The superintendent meets with a few board members prior to discuss agenda items. This man is a toxic scum bag & needs to be removed from Beaufort County. The board members need to be held accountable for extending his contract. We have lost so many students AND employees because of his sorry leadership!!

(commented on April 25th, 2026 @ 7:21 pm)There's plenty of pertinent information here. I was struck by the sentence, "As long as 1% of registered voters turn out at precinct meetings and county conventions, there is little incentive for those elected to do anything other than enrich themselves and waste taxpayer money." That is so true. Additionally, if those 1% are giving us party leaders from county to state level of the caliber we are getting now then the public will continue to get La La land information from them. We need better. That fantasy Rah Rah Rah is leading us toward a disaster senate race this cycle and more looney tune local elections.
We need a more involved general public if we are to block the trending conditions leading us to Blue state status. The bad news in Virginia is coming ever closer to us too.
(commented on April 25th, 2026 @ 7:56 am)The Victory Committee has STILL not reported to the Executive Committee. These people live in an alternate reality universe, where they are not accountable for anything, and if they get questioned on their indiscretions it's the boogieman's fault for asking.

(commented on June 12th, 2025 @ 8:27 pm)Is the school money actually free money? Anything too good to be true usually is. Besides, the $10.5 million + the $500,000 what are these schools actually costing? Who decided three schools should be shutdown in one year? Shouldn’t a needs - based grant mean schools needs are met first; Not shut down? Who made the assessment? Why are three schools being shut down and an entire community ghosted. I didn’t move here for blue swings on playgrounds. I would like a free home, too. How in the world have the voters been ok with spouses on different boards? Craziness! Is Aurora being flushed out? I can’t imagine how an entire community feels after being treated this way. Has anyone at all price - compared the square foot of a school being built in this capacity after the selling point of the superintendent stated population would continue to decline? Where is the money going and why isn’t it being followed? Please visit documents/schoolplanning/school-costs-project/download on NCDPI site
(commented on June 12th, 2025 @ 7:54 pm)More large multinational companies over talented tradesmen and manufacturing coming to a small town near you very soon. The quiet takeover funneled into the flow of ideas, images, and symbols, including state ideologies and counter-ideologies still on the US dime. Everyone is wanting to be smarter, but ends up too stupid to see it.

(commented on January 13th, 2024 @ 8:50 pm)Stan , While you emphasize the enduring ‘5-2’ political equation, others might contend that such categorizations oversimplify the rich tapestry of perspectives in Beaufort County. Acknowledging a spectrum of viewpoints could contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the community’s needs and aspirations.
(commented on January 12th, 2024 @ 11:50 am)"While acknowledging the call for party cleanliness, it's concerning that this comment relies heavily on accusations without providing solid evidence. Allegations against Carolyn Garris should be substantiated before making sweeping statements. Blanket labeling individuals as RINOs or casting doubt on their motives without a comprehensive understanding of the situation may perpetuate a divisive narrative. Let's encourage a fair and transparent investigation rather than jumping to conclusions based on partisan lines.

(commented on February 4th, 2024 @ 5:56 am)I apologize for my last comment. It may have been a tad too out there for some. That is my fault. Let me regroup here:
The numbers in this poll of 600 likely Republican primary voters, with all of the corporate mathematical formulas aside, solidifies what some still call a "conspiracy theory" within the GOP.
Both Trump and Robinson aren't polling where they thought they would even by primary standards. I'm noticing that news outlets such as Right Side Broadcasting Network and OANN are even addressing these issues but not in an overtly obvious way. The issue of "hitting the pavement" to get the "undecided vote" is one that's especially concerning to the starting team of the NC GOP's front runners.
As far as the numbers of the poll are concerned, again, just over 300 people may likely vote for Trump. On the other side, less than 300 people would likely vote for Robinson. More people have questions and more people are finding out that no one wants to answer them.
They don't forget.
(commented on January 14th, 2024 @ 9:48 pm)Steed: Truth be told, I'd say that Trump is the reason why the GOP is split three ways. You've got the everyday GOP, you got the MAGA Republican crowd and then you've got the younger to middle age crowd that's burning Trump on his wishy washy stance on the SARS-COV-2 "vaccines", his comments about how Israel ("New Khazaria" as it used to be listed on old maps) should be immune from the International courts and his "Freedom Cities" (the same thing as a 15 minute city but sounds better to the voter).
This presents a big problem that nobody talks about. Democrat numbers are low but so are Republican numbers across the board which is why Trump and Kennedy will push the third party. They know that the old system is effed and that most of their base/former base will not accept it because some of them are smart. They've figured out the consent is everything in this game and that if people dont consent, the dominoes will fall.
I'd be careful about pushing Trump. He's upset the wrong group.
(commented on January 13th, 2024 @ 11:27 am)Response to Mr. Deatherage: No, sir. I'm not referring to the illuminati when I'm talking about "5-2". "5-2" is the number you yourself gave out when you were categorizing your fellow commissioners. It tells me and everybody else with a good third eye that somebody's getting nervous because the bettin' odds don't look to good for the small group Hood and yourself represent. I'm not being funny when I say that either.
It's a shame that our county couldn't put together a dream team to carry on after 2020.

What they see is a nasty old man who sleeps during meetings, peeps in Womens windows, and disrespects 911 dispatchers and his bloviating fool of a follower. I always thought you had promise Stan but Hood is just using you like he does all those followers who go to his meeting.

(commented on January 9th, 2024 @ 5:39 pm)Mother use to always tell us, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. The entire county should be growing weary of your megaphone. Will the batteries ever die?
What benefits come with your position as a county commissioner? Isn't your health insurance being covered by the tax payers a wonderful benefit? It's time for the people to bid farewell to everyone who's purposely and pettily undercutting the good people of Beaufort County. We the people have had just about enough of this ridiculous banter and the best way to make it go away is to make the mouth in the megaphone be quiet.
Maybe we need a Katt Williams moment in eastern NC. Everyone needs to have several seats.

(commented on January 4th, 2024 @ 4:50 pm)Wow I was in the room and this article written on this blog page is nothing far from the truth. Let’s start with FACTS not a Hood thought he dreamed while he slept through the meeting.
1. Chairman said that Chairman Water’s called and said the school board had to vote BEFORE the county would entertain funding.
2. Allied’s contract ends August 1 as the school board said if we wanted a transition we had to move for the sheriff to hire people.
3. Hood makes up stuff he must dream of while he sleeps in meetings. This county need to wake up as the longest elected commissioner he has lost many jobs, companies, and families because of his back woods policies.
