Commented on Fifth Columns, Democrat and RepublicanJV: Data Centers and AI are issues that every politician will have to deal with. Factor in the potent propaganda from China sweeping the Left and the Non Patriot Left, and it is a conundrum of massive proportions.
Like it or not, AI is here to stay. The problem is how do we police AI, and that is mostly a federal, but also a state issue. I am in favor of heavily curtailing AI in some obvious sectors, while pushing forward in the other obvious directions, including, but not limited to: Defense of our Republic (this is about our joint survival, and World History reminds us freedom can be a fleeting imperative); The Cure of Chronic Health Issues and Medical Advances (especially, the final cure for Cancer); Finally, Gaining the Limited Governments WE Deserve (1. The advanced understanding of where the Waste, Fraud and Abuse is actually hidden, and prosecuting its destruction, especially the complete demise of those that traffic in it. 2. A substantial paring of the government workforce at all levels of government, excepting the military and first responders.); Complete Energy Domination (this can and must happen, and solar panels /windmills will never be the complete answer); All Levels of Law Enforcement (especially securing our borders and enforcing our immigration laws) ... These issues declared, just to name a few, must be radically enhanced by AI, other issues to help our People, although maybe less important, must also be acted upon as soon as is possible. AI can and must be used to help preserve and protect our People; however, it must be pristine in its origination, and there is a conundrum that all levels government must govern effectively, and in a manner befitting the teachings of Jesus Christ to every extent possible.

Commented on Fifth Columns, Democrat and RepublicanJohn Valley: You have been drinking a Kettle of Kool Aid as of late, I reckon some of it is China fed.
For the record, I am AGAINST Data Centers if they are exactly like all the terrible pieces and parts that are fed to the mass population by the provocateurs of propaganda that are sweeping through our population, those spoon fed by one conspiracy after another, unable to truly know what is real. While some conspiracies come true, many are not, and these Americans will very soon have to become smart enough to know the difference. When I am sure about Data Centers, I will make my decision for or against. Right now, I may not know more than you do. That is why we will have a moratorium here in Beaufort County. John Valley: You should know this by now about me, propaganda does not move my senses to make decisions, and does NOT afford me any vision whatsoever. If you would like John, tell us hear on this publication exactly what is your position of Data Centers, and please be comprehensive. One more thing, I don't like paying $4.00 for gas any more than anyone else, but alas, I am a Patriot, and I will continue to do so without griping as long as we are at war!

It is a life and death situation.

Commented on City of Washington is upgrading its electric & water meters to Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)Washingtonian: We would all been better off in Washington, with the election of their officials, if the Local GOP had kept their sophistic hands out of that election, where there was a so-called conservative majority, albeit abjectly slim.
In local politics, there has always been a 'a ROT locally,' but blaming the good Conservatives that endeavor to do right by their constituents, will not solve the issue that it will take a real conservative majority to make the necessary changes to dispose of the 'rot,' and for that to occur, it will take this local electorate to pay close attention the candidates, and elect who is real, who is proven.

Yes, I would name name myself and Hood for being good, decent, honest, and very competent politicians, but we can NOT do it all by ourselves; nor can those other good politicians in local government, and don't you and others in the electorate ever stop to ask yourselves why we, and others have had so little help over the years in limiting the scope of government, and ending corruption. Obviously, they like that form of government, or they would stop electing those politician who, conversely, are not good, decent, honest, and very competent politicians. This is not only a problem on Beaufort County's Board of County Commissioners, but a problem with every governing body in Beaufort County ... But Washingtonian, blaming all good elected leaders, along with the bad, will always help to promote an ignorant electorate, and we just cannot afford that in this Representative Republic, not in these desperate times, because ultimately: The People always get the government they deserve in this Constitutional Republic. Commented on Cooper criminals need “health care, not handcuffs.”Some of our readers have expressed that 'all politicians are unclean or unqualified,' which I have naturally objected against; however, I will conclusively admit that former NC State AG (two terms), NC Governor Roy Cooper has abjectly proved to be both - unclean or unqualified.
Ole Coop's atrocious handling of Covid against all data to the contrary was one simple sign to know this truth. Roy Cooper will be far more pathetic than RINO Richard Burr and his companion of ideals Thom. The one significant thing that Whatley has going for him is that he will listen to the wisdom of Mr. Trump, and should prove not to be a free thinking idiot like Burr and Tillis were.

Commented on Issues in the NewsWill Simmons and Washingtonian: Governments can be fixed, or I would NOT endure all I have endured personally to attempt to right the listing ship of Beaufort County government, a public entity of what should be of great concern to every Beaufort County citizen, who cares about our future, especially those of us that have called this land home for many generations.
Accordingly, I disagree with the premise that all representatives are useless; I know too many good ones. At the nexus of your consistent pessimism is that we absolutely do NOT have a majority of good, decent representatives here in Beaufort County serving at all levels of governing; NO not enough ... I will agree with you there ... However, how do we fix this critical element of a proper functioning self governed society, and most precisely here locally? The only answer to the fixing of that problem is solely up the public; the electorate of the self-governed; picking better, more capable politician one at a time ... And, it is up to the People to choose that most worthy politician; one by one; each and every one. Paying close attention by the public is part of that noble process, and should be taken seriously.

JV: I know real estate quite well, and I know government even better, whereby, I am forced to declare Steed is correct: The Democratic Socialists, and the Non Patriot Left are completely responsible for the Inflation that got rolling hard during the Vegetable President's Administration.
The two main culprits that drove up housing inflation was mainly the over stimulus by the Democratic Socialists, and the Non Patriot Left when Covid was absolutely over, which was the worst supply and demand imbalance in history. The housing inflation situation was just as bad: The recruitment of Illegals by the The Democratic Socialists, and the Non Patriot Left to use for their nefarious political and non patriot purposes. It is my estimation that the Democratic Socialist /Non Patriot infamous and planned treasonous invasions by Illegals is costing a minimum of 1/2 trillion dollars per year of tax payer dollars over and above any possible benefit these Illegals may economically provide. This planned invasion will continue to cost We, The People until the problem is fixed, or this Constitutional Republic is dissolved by these terrible actions of the Democratic Socialists /Non Patriot Left.

It may well be a zero sum game here.
Is the Republican Party the answer? No ... Not yet ... Certainly NOT if the GOP tries to become the "party of the Big Tent," that special place where clear thinking decisions made, and the common sense of true patriotism will go to die.

"J6," while literally uncalled for, was a very small price to pay for that level of widespread cheating for this incredibly Non Patriot President to serve ... as a vegetable. You can rant and rave about "J6" ad nauseum, but the institutional corruption of election cheating, en masse, in that 2020 General Election had, and still has the unambiguous power to piss off good people.

When it comes to Authoritarianism and Fascism the Leftist has a solid listing on that foul piece of Anti-American politics, which of course, is Left. Normal American's remember the Non Patriot Left during the Summer of George, and how they employed that terrible summer of Leftist Fascism and Covid to install the Vegetable President, who, like yourself, continued to spewed and spouted that the greatest enemy of the American is "White Supremacy." The only reason the Non Tolerant Left has made it this far is because of the pathetic parts of an abysmal Education Industry that conspicuously considered indoctrination the best avenue to educate our youth into becoming demented dolts willing to plow pitiful paths to their own demise rather than serve society as a whole by being patient citizens of good and worthy purpose.
