Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Comments by Stan Deatherage

With Trump Derangement Syndrome running at full speed, unabated, intolerant and proud, this makes total sense until the crazies, who project their obtuse madness on the of us everyday, settles down a good bit.

Any large project would need to utilize engineered system, with for septic if sewer is not readily available, with new innovative holding tanks /filtration systems.

A day school with a cafeteria and showers is allowed a flow rate of 8 gallons per student, per day per student /teacher, which equates to 8 students per bedroom (which is how I look at everything, with the flow rate of 120 per bedroom, per day).

Thank-you Bobby Tony for this sincere, and well written tribute to the one guy that every soldier must learn to love - the medic.

In case some of our readers do not already know this, the Conscientious Objector turned medic-to-the-men was probably the most dangerous positions in battle, always working to save others, often in prone positions, while others fought.

For Asian fighters, especially the Japanese, and I am sure that the North Vietnamese learned such fighting the Nips in WW II, the Medic was always a big target.

Kill the man without the gun helping his brothers-in-arms, and the troops could become just one big bit more demoralized in battle.

War is Hell.

Thank-you Bobby Tony, and to your good friend Ken Blakely - may he rest in the bosom of his Savior - for your service to our Republic, to all of us who did not go to Vietnam. We are forever in your debt for that service.

In case you have not heard about this horrendous crime already ...

For whatever reason, the Beaufort County Sheriff stopped sending press releases to BCN - the largest online publication in the history of Beaufort County - so we will check their website and bring that to you as we can.

Then again maybe, the Beaufort County Sheriff will make the obvious correction.

Interesting concept on the machinations of a larger plan, yet unrevealed.

I will try to continue to pay attention to the news, but I must admit that I find much of it hard to consume, with so much time and space given to the more rabid Democratic Socialists.

As I grow older, I am discovering that I have a physical revulsion to this viral stupidity.

Representative Cawthorn would be wise to leave Twitter, like so many, and find an alternative means of expressing himself.

The Democratic Socialists have proven to be intolerant hypocrites of low intellectual acuity, and their viral stupidity can be dangerous, so all should be careful going forward, including the Representative.

For quite some time, the NC delegation has been most weak, especially the Senators.

Mark Meadows was the one true bright spot from the 11th District, sometimes Mark Walker, sometimes Dan Bishop. We need more smart, politically courageous and uncompromised representatives.

I wager that there will be primaries.

I agree Charles to a point, but, I would also add, the GOP has the brightest, most patriotic politicians walking, talking and fighting for our liberties today.

Most of them are younger, which also is a good thing.

In the Democratic Socialist party, all of their politicians are either old, stupid or both ... every damn last one of them.

But that is my professional opinion.

This is music to my ears. These brilliant politicians often wind up not so ... smart.

I find it hard to see the political wisdom in reacting far too quickly before knowing far more than they (the infamous 10 Republicans) against a fellow Republican president, a still popular Republican president, who had just has his re-election stolen from him in plain sight, while they watched.

It just does not seem right.

If this is not an absolute case of "too little, too late", or "closing the barn door after the horses run free", I don't know what is.

I, as a county commissioner, and all of us as good citizens should do all we can to end Election Fraud, and yet, there are these poor Beaufort County Commissioners - www.beaufortcountynow.com

BCN thanks Kathy Manos Penn for her continual, and thought provoking contributions to this publication.

Could this poor performance in managing this crisis be because this administration is a Democratic Socialist Administration far more concerned with politics than doing the work of, by and for the People.

This Autumn rather than preparing for the Vaccine rollout, this executive branch was far more concerned with conducting an unconstitutional election.

The one thing I have learned about most voters over these many years of running successfully for low local office is that when times really get tough, voters will swerve to the more stable if less kindred spirits within the governing bodies.

Most do not last too long because of that whole short memory thing, but some do remain with the Right side.

Thanks for you analogy Steve.

There are good many folks that say that they "have the opinions" would disagree with you; Brit Hume for one.

I have heard many knowledgeable people, such as yourself, to explain it as you have.

Commented on Same But Different

You watched it?

Well, I did watch some of it while I worked, but, I was force to mute parts of the debate when stupid people (I have a sickening aversion to abject stupid people) spoke (or something akin to speaking), so I missed about half of it while I worked ... which was good because I got more work done, so ... as an optimist, I reckon I should personally be thankful for so many stupid Democratic Socialists in the House.

Jim, I have presented a number resolutions in support of Free and Fair Elections, and maybe two resolutions in support Freedom of Speech, and they always fail.

We have 5 Republicans out of 7; so why do they fail?

Maybe the answer is that Beaufort County does a very poor job of electing real Republicans.

Pollster Frank Luntz just reported a "scientific" poll he conducted, just about 48 hours earlier, that asked a number of questions of Republicans that voted for President Trump, one of them: "If you had the chance to vote for Donald Trump today after all that has happened, would you?"

91% said that they would. I would like to add for all you that do not understand politics and all voters, this poll did not include Independents or Democrats (not the Democratic Socialists, but regular moderate Democrats) that voted for Joe Biden before they could be made aware of the Hunter Biden /Jim Biden and possibly Joe Biden foreign adversary access for sale scandal. All this due to the Democratic Socialist Propagandist Media News Blackout of such, in collusion with Big Tech Platforms' Censorship of such.

My word of advice to elected Republicans, who believe they are wise to the way of politics, and dumping hard on President Trump right now - in complete lockstep with the Democratic Socialists who harassed him, his associates, and his family for the last 4 years - just because you know well how to kiss corporate ass, be careful of those not of your privilege. You see, you may find yourself out of office, and wondering "What just happened(?)". And let me tell you why I know this to be true: These folks know that you will not fight for them when the going gets tough. President Donald Trump would. Whether that is completely true or not, this is the consensus of this aforementioned 91%.

Bobby Tony, you hit the nail on the head about politicians.

I have been a politician or in between office for going on 3 decades, and I think far less of politicians now than when I began.

However, even though we disagree on some small issues, I would like to think that me and The Hood would always have each others' backs on the big issues.

On another note, I did appreciate the MIB video. After watching Lonesome Dove ... for about the seventh time recently ... I reckon I am a considerable Tommy Lee Jones fan.

"Self-convene" - excellent word choice.

I was searching my mind for a better word /phrase than "self-recall, and this is better. Thanks Jim, and without objection, I will use that term in the future.

These are not archaic points you make, but outstanding references to history which should always be our guide going forward, and I thank-you for it.

What I find a bit odd is that I am seeing this as a prominent issue for the next NC general assembly long session; nor, have I been contacted by any local representatives, reaching out to me as a county commissioner, or to BCN as large local publication.

If you and I and two other commissioners, and I number of our wise contributors here on the BCN platform, which now includes the Beaufort Observer, see this as a necessity: Why do not they?

Gab was also down for much of day yesterday; probably because of their new users overwhelming their system.

There will be growing pains for systems that allow a Social platform. At some point, it may happen here, but we are not even close ... yet.

You are right Bobby Tony. It is over for Mr. Trump.

Sadly, he did realize it sooner because he really does not understand how the vast majority of politicians think, which was his strong suit, and also his bane.

You are right about another thing, these days of The Donald will be the fine stuff of a Shakespearean comedy /drama /tragedy all rolled into one.

I think it is time for all Americans to settle back and get ready for what is boring and stupid and Socialist, and begin the political fight anew at a time of our choosing.

A big issue for me further, push and demand will be the ending of the tyrannical political soil, where unconstitutional elections can be held here in North Carolina, where cheating could and did occur.

You should advocate the for the same in Georgia with your local politicians.

Thanks again for your always creative input.

While the Capitol Premises Riot was a terrible piece of history, I do not see it as this hysterical "Crisis of our Democracy".

The real "Crisis of our Democracy" was the coordinated Democratic Socialist stealing of the election of 2020. We know how this cost President Trump when he lost to Covid Joe, America's first Idiot President, but what has yet to be discovered is where they (the Democratic Socialists) took the time to cheat in other down ballot elections. I am not convinced that Ole Coop really defeated Dan Forest.

Mitch McConnell needs to remember that at least 8 out of 10 Trump voters in his home state, in the swirl of all this outrageous controversy, would vote for Mr. Trump today unto the exclusion of himself, and it is good that Kentucky does not have the threat of Recall (at least I do not think so), or he would never serve out his full term.

Jim Jordan is a small guy, who is as tough as a lighter knot.

Pound for pound, one of best congressmen to dwell in the well of the House. Sharp witted, feisty, authentic, and always honest and always steady.

I know political "horse flesh" about as well as anyone in these parts and Jim Jordan is my "Sea Biscuit".

Amazon is the one piece of the puzzle where losing any Section 230 Carveout would not hurt them.

What could hurt them in an Anti Trust breakup is how they handle their massive server business, or censor writers of books by decent, smart people. And, if they censor decent folk who they might have political disagreements with, they need no local carveouts.

My more libertarian opinion is they should not get any government carveouts, but what needs to be known is this truth of Amazon's /Bezos's utter disdain for the 1st Amendment to offer politicians the ammunition to not rush to hand over this plethora of local public benefits to this behemoth - Amazon.

In summary, by treating the Amazon leviathan like all other businesses, like the ones they damage and put out of business for good, it will be essential for local politicians to deny local government carveouts because of these discovered and well discussed censorship practices.

We can not let them win in 2022. They have done much damage to our Republic over the last 4 years, and they will do even more damage to our Constitutional Republic over the next 2 years, but, hopefully, enough Americans will be lifted out of their stupor of stupidity to vote with the patriots in the 2022 Midterms.

Then again, if the non patriots are allowed to cheat again in these elections, "all bets are off".
